We’ve played one-quarter of the fantasy football season already, which is crazy, right? At the same time, it seems like we’ve been through a war of a fantasy season. Between injuries, COVID, and rescheduled games, fantasy managers are being tested more than ever. I said before the season that this year would test the depth on your roster, but unless you have more than six bench spots, your depth hasn’t mattered much because you’ve had to cut players you’d typically hold in order to grab a streamer for that particular week. Here are some of the injuries you need to know about heading into Week 5.
OUT
Cam Newton
Sam Darnold
Corey Davis
DeSean Jackson
Alshon Jeffery
Noah Fant
HIGHLY QUESTIONABLE
Drew Lock
Raheem Mostert
Julio Jones (game-time decision, though I don’t expect him to play)
Michael Thomas (game not until Monday night, have bye in Week 6 worrisome)
A.J. Brown (expected to play)
John Brown
Mike Williams
Jared Cook
As you can see, there are a lot of injuries on top of the potentially postponed game(s). If you’re torn on who to play because of that, here are my updated rankings (that will be adjusted all the way up until kickoff) for this week after learning of all the injuries. If you’d like to know why each player is where they are, I’ve written a full paragraph on every player from every game in The Primer. It’s a weekly article that answers just about any question you might have, and you can read it for FREE right here. If you are still torn, we do a Sunday morning livestream where I answer as many of your questions that I can for a full hour, starting at 11am EST. Here’s the link to that.
