Week 7 is here already, it’s crazy to think they are one week away from the half-way point of the season. As we approach the halfway point, let’s look at some of my top Week 7 values…

Quarterbacks

Jimmy Garoppolo (SF): $6,600 at NE
There will be a theme in my value column this week — underpriced 49ers — and it starts with Garoppolo. As the cheapest starting quarterback on the slate, FanDuel is giving too much respect to a New England defense that hasn’t been as good as they were last year. The Patriots rank 17th in DVOA versus the pass and 16th versus the run (via FootballOutsiders.com), and while they have only given up 15.6 fantasy points to the position on the year, that number is a bit skewed by the fact they held Ryan Fitzpatrick and Drew Lock to under six fantasy points each. Garoppolo doesn’t give you a high ceiling, but he can be efficient enough to reach value.

Running Backs

Antonio Gibson (WAS): $5,700 vs. DAL
I don’t need to tell you how bad the Dallas defense has been. But to quantify their awfulness, they rank 21st in DVOA versus the pass and 29th versus the run. Gibson hasn’t been great in his rookie season, but he is getting work in both the run and pass game. The Football Team would like nothing more than for Gibson’s breakout game to come against their arch-rival Dallas Cowboys.

JaMycal Hasty (SF): $4,600 at NE
Hasty is viable only if Jeff Wilson Jr. is ruled out. Wilson wasn’t active last week and has practiced in a limited fashion all week. The 49ers, now without Raheem Mostert and Tevin Coleman, might opt to play the healthier Hasty over Wilson in hopes to get Wilson ready for next week. Pay close attention to the practice reports throughout the week, as McKinnon isn’t a running back to whom the 49ers want to give a full workload. Hasty could end up as the first and second-down runner in an offense that is friendly to running backs.

Wide Receivers

Tim Patrick (DEN): $5,550 vs. KC
After two back-to-back 100-yard games and two touchdowns over his last three games, Patrick is somehow still cheaper than his teammate Jerry Jeudy, who has yet to have any 100-yard games and has only one touchdown in his young career. Yep, that makes total sense. The Broncos are going to be forced to pass in this game to keep pace with the Chiefs’ offense, which will lead to more opportunities for Patrick.

Deebo Samuel (SF): $5,400 at NE
The third member of the 49ers in this week’s column might be the most disrespectful pricing on the slate. Samuel is used in the running game as well as the passing game, and he is a player who can catch a pass behind the line of scrimmage and gain 10-to-15 yards. Samuel is priced the same as Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Mecole Hardman. Let that sink in. At $5,400, Samuel will be in a ton of my lineups.

Tight Ends

Austin Hooper (CLE): $5,400 at CIN
After a slow start to the season, Hooper has now out-targeted Jarvis Landry in three straight games. He had five receptions and either 50 yards or a touchdown in each of those three games. The Bengals give up the sixth-most fantasy points to tight ends and are the fifth in Defensive Points Allowed Consistency (D-PAC via ProFootballNetwork.com).

Defense

Washington Football Team $3,800 vs. DAL
This Dallas team has had some major issues with turnovers this season, and even when Dak Prescott was healthy, they were giving the ball away at an alarming rate. The Washington Football Team can put some pressure on the quarterback, and that could force Andy Dalton into some mistakes. We also saw Ezekiel Elliot struggle with fumbles last week, too.
