DraftKings NFL Lineup Advice: Week 6 (Full Slate)

DraftKings NFL Lineup Advice: Week 6 (Full Slate)

After struggling in Week 1, we’ve been crushing it ever since. Last week may have been my most well-rounded article of the season thus far, and every recommendation scored at least 12 DraftKings points. That included Teddy Bridgewater, Todd Gurley, David Johnson, Will Fuller, Robby Anderson, Darren Waller, and the Dallas D/ST. That’s a tough task to accomplish, and it led to my most profitable week of the season. I hope it was the same for you guys, so let’s go ahead and get into our favorite plays for Week 6!

Monday Slate

With no game on Thursday, we’re going to talk about that two-gamer on Monday. The first matchup features the Kansas City Chiefs and the Buffalo Bills. This should be an absolute shootout, with Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen slinging the ball around at ease. Stefon Diggs is probably the best position player on the board, while Demarcus Robinson and Mecole Hardman make for nice values.

As for the other Monday game, we have the Dallas Cowboys hosting the Arizona Cardinals. Kyler Murray is easily the best option on the board, as he faces a Dallas defense that can’t stop anyone. With Dak Prescott injured, Ezekiel Elliot is their best option, and he may be asked to carry a heavy workload in his absence. In terms of value plays, the Arizona D/ST could have success against Andy Dalton and Greg Zuerlein could be sneaky for this new-look Cowboys offense.

Quarterback of the Week

Kirk Cousins (MIN): $6,100 vs. ATL
I went with Bridgewater against the Falcons last week, and we’re going to keep riding quarterbacks against them if DraftKings is going to keep their prices so low. It’s scary just how bad Atlanta has been against opposing quarterbacks, as they’re surrendering at least 24 DraftKings points in every game to them this season. Also, quarterbacks are averaging over 30 DK points per game against this Atlanta defense, which is the worst mark by 5.8 fantasy points. Cousins has the ability to go off, too, as he’s thrown for at least 249 passing yards in four of five games this season despite sitting near the bottom of the league in pass attempts. Just keep riding quarterbacks against the Falcons all year.

Cash Game Running Back

James Robinson (JAC): $6,800 vs. DET
I initially had Alexander Mattison penciled in at this spot, but I was amazed to see how high his price was. That’s why we’re going to ride Robinson, who’s been one of the best breakout backs this season. The thing that makes him really attractive is his role, as he’s collected at least 17 combined carries and targets in all five games played this year. That’s led to an 18-point average, making him a top-five running back in fantasy points scored. He’s certainly not being priced that way, and we haven’t even discussed this tasty matchup. Robinson and the Jags get to face a Lions club that surrenders the second-most fantasy points to opposing running backs this season.

GPP Running Back

Devonta Freeman (NYG): $4,900 vs. WAS
Many people assumed that Freeman was done after he went unsigned in the offseason, but recent results tell us that he’s the Giants’ bell-cow back. After attaining 11 carries and four receptions in his second game with New York in Week 4, he was rewarded with 17 carries and three targets in Week 5. He turned that big role into 16.7 DK points, and it’s clear that he’s the go-to back in New York right now. Getting to face Washington this week only adds to his value, as the Football Team has allowed at least 144 rushing yards in four straight games.

Cash Game Wide Receiver

Adam Thielen (MIN): $7,300 vs. ATL
Let’s kick things off with a trivia question: Who is the top wide receiver in fantasy right now? Yes, you guessed it, it’s Thielen. That makes him a fantastic pairing with Kirk Cousins, as these two should dice right through this horrific Atlanta defense. The Falcons currently own a 28th OPRK against wide receivers this year and they’re surely going to struggle with a stud like Thielen, who’s scored at least 29 DraftKings points in three of his five games this year. With Dalvin Cook also out, Thielen and Cousins should be asked to do even more than usual.

GPP Wide Receiver

Terry McLaurin (WAS): $5,700 at NYG
There are actually three guys I love in this price range, with Tyler Boyd and A.J. Brown both $100 within McLaurin’s range. The reason we’re going with Scary Terry is because he has the best matchup of the three. In fact, the Giants own a 25th OPRK against opposing wide receivers this season. That’s no surprise when you look at their personnel and a target-hound like McLaurin should do work in such an intriguing matchup. Scary Terry has at least seven targets in all five games this season and the only other three guys who have that in their resume include De’Andre Hopkins, Amari Cooper and Allen Robinson. That’s some special company to be around, and his 16.5-point average shows just how exceptional he can be.

Tight End of the Week

Jonnu Smith (TEN): $5,200 vs. HOU
Is It crazy to call Jonnu a top-five tight end at this point? He’s essentially taken over the Delanie Walker role in this offense, and it’s doing wonders for his value. I really like Smith’s floor, as he’s scored at least 11 DraftKings points in all four games this season. He’s actually the only tight end in the NFL who’s done that, and he leads all tight ends on this slate in fantasy points per game as well. It’s not like Houston is a team we need to fade, either, as they own a 21st OPRK against tight ends this season.

D/ST of the Week

Miami Dolphins $2,900 vs. NYJ
How weird is it to see a D/ST facing the Jets below $3K? That alone makes Miami the best per-dollar play among all the D/STs, and they happen to be playing well, too. In fact, they’ve scored at least 12 DK points in two of their last three games, holding the Jaguars and 49ers to just 209 passing yards per game while recording nine total sacks and five turnovers. That’s an impressive run from anyone, and we have to love that they face the worst offense in football here. Also, they won’t have either Sam Darnold or Le’Veon Bell, which makes them an even better matchup.
