FantasyPros Over/Under Challenge Advice: Week 2 (2020)

Did you happen to be on the receiving end of the dreaded Week One Fantasy Woes? Maybe you happened to draft Michael Thomas, George Kittle, and Kenny Golladay with the first three picks of your fantasy draft just a few weeks ago and now you’re contemplating spending your Week 2 Sunday doing an afternoon’s worth of yard work? Don’t be this guy.

If you need to spice up your fantasy game after getting your teeth kicked in last week, I present to you the Fantasy Over/Under Challenge Presented by BetMGM. Each week, FantasyPros will compile a list of 10 players with their projected point total for the week using a half PPR scoring format. All you have to do is simply select if you think this player will go Over or Under their projected point total. You’ll be able to track your picks amongst the entire FantasyPros community with the top winners walking away with some prizes to boot. Here is a link to the contest’s FAQ page.

Below are my picks for the Week 2 slate of the Fantasy Over/Under Challenge.

Tom Brady (QB – TB) vs CAR – Over 19.0
After laying an egg in his Tampa Bay Buccaneers debut last week in New Orleans, including his third game in a row in which he threw a pick-six, Brady will bounce back in a big way against the NFL’s worst defense. Mike Evans appears to be on the right side of questionable, while Chris Godwin isn’t looking so fortunate. Regardless, Brady tears it up and looks like his usual self in this “get right” matchup.

Josh Allen (QB – BUF) at MIA – Over 20.7
The former Wyoming product carved up another cakewalk of an AFC East opponent last week, throwing for 312 yards and two scores with an additional 52 yards and another score on the ground. Expect more of the same for Allen and the rest of the Bills against the ‘Phins.

Clyde Edwards-Helaire (RB – KC) at LAC – Over 14.2
This Kansas City Offense has far too much firepower to not find themselves milking the clock once the fourth quarter rolls around. CEH will already have his score and by then, but I wouldn’t be surprised if we saw Andy Reid dial up a few of his patented screen plays for the Edwards-Helaire/Brian Westbrook comparisons to get thrown out there for yet another week.

Saquon Barkley (RB – NYG) at CHI – Under 17.2
I, like most of you, couldn’t help but keep my eyes glued to the TV when the Giants had one of the worst offensive line performances that you’ll ever see last week on Monday Night Football against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Barkley would have a better chance at achieving these fantasy points if he took all of his snaps at wideout as opposed to running behind this offensive line in Soldier Field on Sunday.

Ronald Jones (RB – TB) vs CAR – Under 11.8
Bruce Arians and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers didn’t trade for Leonard Fournette just so he could play second fiddle to Ronald Jones. This is a perfect opportunity for Arians to hand the keys of the backfield over to the superior talent in Fournette. Fournette, not RoJo, goes off against the worst run defense in the NFL.

Allen Robinson (WR – CHI) vs NYG – Over 13.1
With a drama-filled week in the rearview, which included Robinson scrubbing his social media of all Chicago Bears related content due to his desire for a new contract extension, Matt Nagy figures out a way to remind Robinson just how valuable he is to this Chicago Bears offense. After JuJu Smith-Schuster found paydirt on two occasions on Monday night against this Giants secondary, Robinson goes for triple-digit receiving yards and hauls in a score of his own.

Will Fuller (WR – HOU) vs BAL – Over 11.1
Fuller was a target monster last week in his 2020 debut as the Texans WR1. As long as he can stay healthy, the former Notre Dame standout will remain a guy that you just hate to see go against your fantasy team on any given week. Fuller and Watson connect for their first deep shot connection for six during their Week 2 contest against the Ravens.

DeSean Jackson (WR – PHI) vs LAR – Under 9.2
Just as I wrote in last week’s edition, this offense still runs through Zach Ertz and Dallas Goedert. And just like last week, Jackson will need a monster play where he’s able to get behind the defense in order to achieve this projection.

Dallas Goedert (TE – PHI) vs LAR – Over 9.0
As the Eagles appear to unapologetically embrace their passing game identity, Goedert’s fantasy arrow continues to point up. After starting the season by going for eight receptions, 101 yards, and one touchdown all on nine targets, Goedert cements himself as a weekly starter after he puts up another week of double-digit fantasy points.

Editor’s Note: A.J. Brown has already been ruled out for Week 2 with a hamstring injury.
