Bobby Sylvester’s 2020 Shortstop Rankings (Fantasy Baseball)

Long gone are the days where there are only one or two solid fantasy producers at the shortstop position. At this point, we have at least 15 who will go in the first 100 picks. There are three first rounders and nine others who may be off the board by the sixth round. Even with the value to be found later, there are three incredible values at ADP: Carlos Correa and the two players I’ll dive into before we get into the full rankings.

Adalberto Mondesi (KC): 4th Round Target
Mondesi had a ridiculous 43 steals last year but he did it in just 416 at-bats. If he can stay on the field for the entire shortened season, Mondesi is a stonecold lock to lead the league. Add in some power and we are talking about a potential first round value and a league-winner, albeit one with some risk.

Marcus Semien (OAK): 7th Round Target
Semien is currently being drafted outside the top 12 fantasy shortstops around the 7th round but did you know that he finished among the top five last year and ahead of Lindor, Turner and Torres. Semien knocked 33 bombs with double-digit steals, a good .285 batting average and 123 runs. He is a complete five-tool asset and one of fantasy baseball’s top steals at ADP regardless of position.
