Likeliest 2020 roster moves: Center and left field are going to be a game of musical chairs all year. Winker hasn’t shown the consistency or health to play full-time in left and Akiyama may go through an adjustment period. Aristides Aquino showed his warts in September last year but has the raw skills to take the job from Winker. If two of those three pan out, former top prospect Nick Senzel could be traded to upgrade at shortstop or add more pitching depth. If they don’t, Senzel could play his way into a full-time job at either position.
Bold Fantasy Prediction: Curt Casali proves that last year wasn’t a fluke, and winds up with more fantasy value than incumbent Tucker Barnhart. In 50 fewer at-bats, Casali will provide similar stats as Barnhart, but hit a couple more long balls and prove to be relevant in two-catcher leagues
Bland Fantasy Prediction: Eugenio Suarez recovers just fine from shoulder surgery, swatting what would be 37 homers with a combined 190 runs and RBI over a full season.
