Starting Lineup

# NAME POS
1 Max Kepler OF
2 Jorge Polanco SS
3 Nelson Cruz DH
4 Josh Donaldson 3B
5 Eddie Rosario OF
6 Miguel Sano 1B
7 Mitch Garver C
8 Luis Arraez 2B
9 Byron Buxton OF

Quick notes: The lineup is still up in the air, as the Twins were featuring Arraez at the top of the lineup a lot in spring training. The depth of this lineup is just ridiculous, which could mean bad things for guys like Polanco, Sano, and Garver, who could end up near the end of the lineup if they are not hitting early on.

Pitching Rotation

# NAME R/L
1 Jose Berrios R
2 Jake Odorizzi R
3 Kenta Maeda R
4 Homer Bailey R
5 Jhoulys Chacin R

  • Better than his ADP: Kenta Maeda (176)
  • Worse than his ADP: Odorizzi (177)
  • Starter least likely to stick in the rotation: Bailey, Chacin
  • Non-starter most likely to enter the rotation: Randy Dobnak, Rich Hill (injured), Michael Pineda (suspended)

Quick notes: This rotation is one of the hardest in the league to predict. After the top three, there is tons of uncertainty.

Bullpen

Quick notes: Nine different Twins recorded a save last year. You should not be convinced that Rogers is an elite closer option for fantasy purposes this year.

Prospects

  • Relevant in 2020: None
  • Worth a look for 2021 and beyond: Alex Kirilloff

Other Helpful Fantasy Info

  • Park Factor: 102.7 for runs, 97.3 for homers, 102.3 for singles, 112 for doubles, 113.6 for triples (league average = 100)
  • Green Light Rating: LOW (Twins were dead last in the league in stolen base attempt rate in 2019 with manager Rocco Baldelli)
  • Likeliest 2020 roster moves: Add pitching at the deadline, top/bottom of the lineup reconfigurations.
  • Bold Fantasy Prediction: Miguel Sano leads the Major Leagues in home runs.
  • Bland Fantasy Prediction: Nelson Cruz finally shows signs of his age, still hits a ton of homers, but hits closer to .260 than .280.
