Guards
Luka Doncic (PG – DAL): $10,400 vs. Pelicans
Doncic has been a bit of a disappointment lately, missing a couple of games and having three pretty poor fantasy point totals (for his standards) over his last four games. All of that has brought his price down to a spot where I want to go all-in on him. The Pelicans are one of the league’s worst fantasy defenses, adding six fantasy points to their opponent’s average totals and allowing a 5.7x average return to point guards. You know what Doncic is capable of doing; this is a great bet for a 6x return, I’m all over Doncic tonight.
Marcus Smart (PG – BOS): $6,500 @ Cavaliers
The Celtics are in shambles right now. Jayson Tatum and Kemba Walker have been ruled out, and Jaylen Brown and Gordon Hayward are seeming legitimately questionable for tonight. Smart is a bit pricey due to Walker’s string of missed games, but he gets an even bigger boost tonight with so many shot takers being injured. He has attempted 15 or more shots in his last four games, and I would be shocked if he did not clear that mark again tonight. He will have to play all the minutes he can handle and should be able to take advantage of the Cavaliers lax defense – they add ten fantasy points to their opponent’s totals.

Jaylen Brown (SG – BOS): $6,400 @ Cavaliers
If Brown does play, I want him in my lineups. The price on him is just goofy at $6,400. He costs $8,100 on DraftKings, a massive discrepancy. In 281 minutes this with Walker and Tatum off the floor, Brown has a ridiculous 31% usage rate. If he is healthy, he is in for a massive amount of shot attempts and probably an elevated rebound total as well. He is a very high ceiling play on FanDuel tonight.
Coby White (PG – CHI): $6,300 @ Timberwolves
One big news item tonight is that Zach LaVine will miss this game. On the year, White has been a very solid fantasy contributor with LaVine off the floor, averaging 0.97 FanDuel points per minute. His minutes have also been really soaring lately, as he has played 29 or more minutes in his last eight games. That should be the case again tonight, and the matchup is fantastic. White has 50 FanDuel point upside here, with a very solid floor to boot.
Forwards
Kevin Love (PF – CLE): $6,600 vs. Celtics
This is not a great matchup for the Cavaliers as the Celtics have shaved off nine fantasy points from their opponent’s totals this year. However, Love has the salary working in his favor as he gets a production bump with Andre Drummond not playing tonight. Love took 15 shots and grabbed nine rebounds in the Cavaliers last game without Drummond. His price on FanDuel does not reflect the situation he is in tonight, making him very likely to give you a nice return for the money.
Larry Nance (PF – CLE): $5,400 vs. Celtics
Same story here as with Love, as Nance played very well on Monday when the Cavs were a little weak in the front court. He scored 16 points, grabbed eight rebounds, and also handed out eight assists while taking a season-high 17 shots. I would not expect a repeat of that performance, but you do not need anything close to a repeat at this salary. Tristan Thompson is also questionable, and his absence would open up even more minutes and rebounds for Nance, making him close to a must-play at $5,400.
Centers
Hassan Whiteside (C – POR): $9,500 vs. Wizards
We can’t write an NBA DFS post without mentioning how bad the Wizards’ defense is. They have allowed an average salary return of 5.7x to big men and have added 14 points to their opponent’s team total. The TrailBlazer I want tonight is Whiteside, who should play 30+ minutes in this spot as one of the highest per-minute fantasy contributors in the league. Everything is working in Whiteside’s favor tonight, and he is hands down the best way to spend up in your center spot tonight.
Steven Adams (C – OKC): $6,000 @ Pistons
It is never thrilling to play Adams, but he finds himself in a very nice spot at a cheap price tag tonight. The Pistons have been pasted by centers all year long, allowing an average salary return of 5.9x to big men. Adams has been playing much better lately, recently going three straight games taking double-digit shot attempts. The rebounds will be there tonight, and a double-double is very likely in my eyes, which provides a great floor for a cheap price tag at the center position.
Wendell Carter Jr. (C – CHI): $4,000 @ Timberwolves
While Carter has not seen a boost in fantasy point per minute production with Zach LaVine off the floor to this point this year, he does have a ton working in his favor tonight. The Bulls are being a bit careful with his minutes after a knee issue he is coming back from, but the minutes ticked up to 23 in the last game and I would expect another tick up for this game. If this guy can play 25+ minutes, he is going to murder this price tag. For the year he is a 0.9 fantasy point per minute contributor but has some huge upside. The matchup is pristine, as the Timberwolves allow an average salary return of 5.6x to big men and add eight fantasy points to their opponent’s average totals. Carter is a slam dunk for your center spot.
