This might be the smallest slate of NBA action on Monday all season with just three games on the hardwood. Despite just three matchups on the docket, there is a bunch of mid-priced value available, especially with one notable big named star not suiting, as Giannis Antetokounmpo will miss his second straight game. However, Milwaukee isn’t the only place to find strong DFS options for your DraftKings lineups tonight.
Note that some of the stats referenced in this article are my custom defense versus position (DvP) calculations that combines data from the season and last five games along with blending similar positions production allowed together.

One Stud
Nikola Jokic (C – DEN): $9,500 vs. MIL
There are very few options to consider for the “one stud” of the night with Antetokounmpo out. I’ll give the nod to a big man from the team that the Bucks play with Jokic. Jokic flirted with a triple-double in the last meeting with the Bucks putting up 15 points, 10 rebounds, and nine assists in Milwaukee. Without Giannis, the Bucks will have one less elite defender to contain Jokic who had produced about four more DraftKings points per game at home than on the road this season. The Bucks gave up 140 points to the Suns on Sunday and playing in the second game of a back-to-back in the Mile High City won’t help their defensive energy.

Core Plays
Khris Middleton (SF – MIL): $7,600 @ DEN
Whenever Antetokounmpo is off the court, Middleton sees a spike in usage of 7.5 percent. He has averaged 29.0 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 5.9 assists for 48.2 DK points per game in seven outings without the Greek Freak this season. Middleton still has a very reasonable price tag given the opportunity and game environment and feels like a must-start on the small slate.
Norman Powell (SG/SF – TOR): $6,800 @ UTA
Powell has taken advantage of his recent opportunity with Fred Van Vleet out. Over Powell’s last five games, he has put up 28.0 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 2.8 assists per game for 40.7 DK points a night. Van Vleet seems likely to miss another game on Monday on the second game of a back-to-back set on the road in Utah. In a previous meeting with the Jazz, Powell put up 34 DK points with 15 points, five rebounds, and three assists in 32 minutes. Playing at least 36 minutes in each of the last five games, Powell should be able to exceed that stat line on Monday night.
Eric Bledsoe (PG – MIL): $5,700 @ DEN
Let me know if you hear this line before, whenever Antetokounmpo is off the court, Bledsoe sees a spike in usage of 8.6 percent. He has averaged 26.8 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 7.0 assists for 46.2 DK points per game in five outings without Antetokounmpo this season. Bledsoe’s price tag is absurdly low for the situation he is in on the short slate and should be very popular.
PJ Washington (PF/C – CHA): $5,600 @ ATL
The rookie out of Kentucky has played some good ball in his rookie season with the Hornets. He has played significant minutes and has been producing good numbers over his last three games with 20.3 points, 5.0 rebound, and 3.0 assists for 33.6 DK points per game. The Hornets find themselves in a big pace up spot on Monday in Atlanta against a Hawks team that has allowed the sixth-most points, fourth-most rebounds, and seven-most assists to opposing power forwards this season.
Value Plays
Mike Conley (PG – UTA): $5,300 vs. TOR
Conley has produced at least 25 DK points in nine of his last 10 games but remains very reasonably priced at just $5,300 heading into Monday’s matchup with the Raptors. Conley dropped 20 points, three rebounds, and a pair of assists on the Raptors for 30 DK points in an earlier meeting this season. The matchup against the Raptors isn’t ideal, but on a short slate, we need to take some solid value options with a good floor and a little bit of upside like Conley.
Donte DiVincenzo (PG/SG – MIL): $4,800 @ DEN
Even before Antetokounmpo sat out the last game, DiVincenzo had been putting up solid numbers for the Bucks over his last few games. Following Sunday’s 16-point effort in 29 minutes, he has averaged 15.8 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 3.5 assists for 32.5 DK points per game over his last four outings. He will be leaned for his youthful energy in the second game of a back-to-back for the Bucks as they travel to Denver.
Paul Millsap (PF/C – DEN): $4,600 vs. MIL
Picking which Nuggets power forward to use can be a little bit of a crapshoot between Millsap, Jerami Grant, and even Michael Porter Jr. I’m going to give the slight edge to the veteran Millsap in a big game against the Bucks. Millsap has a better chance for a game with bigger minutes and a spike in fantasy production than the other options and has been very good on the homecourt with 14.3 points and 6.2 rebounds per game for 28.4 DK points a night.
