Fantasy basketball managers need to be paying attention this week. The NBA’s trade deadline passes at 3 p.m. ET on Thursday, Feb. 6. That means roster shake-ups could happen quickly between now and then. It will also shift the value of players. Grabbing a new starter off the waiver wire could be a massive boost to your lineup. Be locked in on what is happening.
Today, we look at five players worth trading in fantasy basketball because of their current value.

Here are three options to acquire now before it is too late.
Victor Oladipo (IND – PG/SG)
Oladipo returned on Jan. 29 from a quad injury that sidelined him for nearly a year. The Pacers guard is slowly ramping into action. He has played in three games but is averaging just 22.0 minutes on poor shooting.
The 27-year-old could be a game-changer in your league, though. Oladipo has been a top 30 player in the past. His ability in points, rebounds, assists, and steals could push your team over the top.
A lot of people are worried right now. Fantasy managers could likely acquire Vic for a player ranked outside the top 75 and get a nice bargain for the stretch run.
Serge Ibaka (TOR – PF/C)
Ibaka ranks 91st on the FantasyPros Player Rater for the season. He has played in 40 games too. The production is nearly identical to last season except he is averaging 0.5 blocks less per game. Ibaka finished 53rd a season ago.
Banking on his block numbers improving could give managers a stellar asset down the stretch. Some fantasy managers are frustrated with Ibaka and would trade him for someone ranked outside the top 100. The best is yet to come for Serge Ibaka, though.
Kristaps Porzingis (DAL – PF/C)
Trading for Porzingis is a boom or bust move. He missed ten games with a knee injury that was termed as soreness. There are no guarantees he stays healthy down the stretch, but KP could be league altering.
The Unicorn has scored 35-plus with 12 rebounds in two straight games. He is finally getting his legs back under him and the jumpers are beginning to fall. That could mean elite scoring and 3-point production down the stretch to go with rebounds and blocks. Porzingis could literally produce a stat line no player can match.
Try to acquire Porzingis now for any player ranked outside the top 50. If he stays healthy, that could be the move that pushes you to the title.

These two players should be traded away to maximize their value.
Kawhi Leonard (LAC – SG/SF)
Kawhi is an absolute fantasy monster. He is averaging 27.1 points, 7.6 rebounds, 5.2 assists, 1.9 steals, and 0.7 blocks. It is his across the board production that has him ranked 11th on the FantasyPros Player Rater for the season.
There is no reason to think the Clippers push him down the stretch, though. They are comfortably in the playoffs. Kawhi hasn’t played 70 plus games since 2017 and there is no reason to believe this is the year.
Trade Leonard for another top option that is going to be in the lineup for every game down the stretch.
Jimmy Butler (MIA – SG/SF)
There are similar concerns about Butler. His is not because of resting, though. Jimmy Buckets often gets hurt and misses time. He has topped 70 games just once since 2013. Expect him to finish in the mid-60s which means roughly 25 games left of Butler.
He is currently ranked 19th on the Player Rater. Trade him for Donovan Mitchell or any top 30 option that should be fully healthy the rest of the way. You could gain ten additional games to propel you to the fantasy title.
