We already know of some impactful injuries opening up value tonight, and more could be announced throughout the day as the league nears the All-Star break. Let’s dive into some suggested plays at each position.

Point Guard
Elfrid Payton (NY): $7,000 at DET
Payton has been on a tear lately, averaging 50.3 FD points over his last three games. That might not be sustainable, but if you go back a bit further he’s still averaged 39.7 FD points over his last nine games, in large part due to his consistent time on the court. He’s seen over 32 minutes and logged 9.7 assists per game over that stretch. He can easily pay off his salary again tonight in Detroit.
Others to consider:
Malcolm Brogdon (IND): $6,700 vs. NO
In his five games since returning from a concussion, Brogdon has averaged 34.7 FD points per game. He’s underpriced tonight when he takes on the Pelicans, who’ve given up the fourth-most FD points to opposing point guards on average over the season.

Point Guard
Elfrid Payton (NY): $7,000 at DET

Landry Shamet (LAC): $4,400 at MIN
Clippers starting point guard Patrick Beverly has already been ruled out of tonight’s game in Minnesota, so Shamet should see additional opportunities against a Timberwolves team that gives up the fourth-most points per game in the NBA. The second-year sharp-shooter could be a huge value tonight.
Shooting Guard
Josh Hart (NO): $5,000 at IND
Hart continues to be one of the best bench players in the league and has put up at least 25 FD points in six of his last seven games. A big part of that has been the 8.3 rebounds he’s grabbed per game over that span. Still at just $5,000, Hart provides some nice salary relief on tonight’s slate while still providing some upside.
Others to consider:
DeMar DeRozan (SA): $7,700 at SAC
DeRozan has one of the safest floors in fantasy basketball. He’s San Antonio’s top scoring option and he never comes off the floor, playing at least 31 minutes in 22 straight games. He should have no problem paying off his reasonable salary against the Kings tonight and comes with 60 FD point upside.
Danny Green (LAL): $4,200 at GS
It’s tough to trust any Lakers outside of LeBron James and Anthony Davis, but Green is worth taking a chance on tonight. He’ll face off against the Warriors, who’ve allowed the second-most FD points to shooting guards over the last seven games and the second-most three-pointers to the position on the season, which is right in Green’s wheelhouse.
Small Forward
Paul George (LAC): $8,400 at MIN
The price tag still seems too low for George, who’s topped 40 FD points in his last three games after being eased back in after missing nine games with a hamstring injury. He was consistently over $9,000 earlier in the season and likely will be again soon, so take advantage of the savings tonight in a matchup with a poor defensive team in Minnesota.
Others to consider:
Andrew Wiggins (GS): $7,100 vs. LAL
At this point, we don’t know if Wiggins will be ready to make his debut tonight, but if he does play he’s worth taking a shot on in tournaments. Golden State is going to be shorthanded after trading away D’Angelo Russel, Omari Spellman, Alec Burks, and Glen Robinson III. Wiggins will get all the minutes and usage he can handle if he suits up.
Miles Bridges (CHA): $6,100 vs DAL
Bridges has seen a nice jump in usage lately, up to 23.4% over his last four games compared to 19.4% he’s seen over the entire season. Over that stretch, he’s averaged 39.6 FD points and he should be in line for a similar output tonight against the Mavericks.
Power Forward
Julius Randle (NY): $8,000 at DET
Randle should smash against the Pistons tonight. With Andre Drummond shipped off to Cleveland, Detroit will roll out Thon Maker and Christian Wood in the frontcourt, who aren’t likely to slow Randle down much. He should walk into a double-double tonight and a 20-20 performance is well within the realm of possibilities.
Others to consider:
LaMarcus Aldridge (SAS): $6,800 at SAC
Aldridge has been tough to predict all season, as seen by his last three games. The Kings are still banged up in the frontcourt and Aldridge is still seeing plenty of time on the court and usage in good matchups. He’s volatile but has huge upside tonight.
Taj Gibson (NY): $3,600 at DET
Gibson is a great bargain option if you need the salary savings. He’s in the Knicks starting lineup and, while he doesn’t always play huge minutes, has a matchup that’s great for all the same reasons I mentioned for Julius Randle. If he plays 18 or more minutes he’s very likely to pay off his salary tonight.
Center
Karl-Anthony Towns (MIN): $10,000 vs. LAC
As bad as the Timberwolves are as an NBA team, KAT is one of the best fantasy players you can roster right now. He can fill up every box on the stat sheet and, until D’Angelo Russell suits up, is the only real scoring option on his team. He’s essentially matchup proof and comes with a massive ceiling every night, including against the Clippers tonight.
Others to consider:
Thon Maker (DET): $4,100 vs NY
Maker is fresh off of a 32.4 FD point outing against the Thunder last night, but his price hasn’t caught up yet. He should continue to see the majority of minutes at center for the Pistons, at least until John Henson is available.
Here’s a lineup you can roll out tonight with $100 to spare. It features a few high-ceiling players, but most of them are better cash plays given their near-guaranteed production. As always, make sure to stay locked into the late-breaking news of the day and adjust accordingly.
