Saturday night’s slate of games features a strong 10-game all-day slate which tips-off at 3:30 p.m. EST and a nine-game slate for the main slate tipping off at 7:00 p.m. EST. The Brooklyn Nets, Portland Trail Blazers, Los Angeles Lakers, and Dallas Mavericks are all operating on a back-to-back.

Kyrie Irving (PG – BKN): $9,100 @ WAS
The Brooklyn Nets have a dream matchup ahead against the Washington Wizards. The Wizards rank 30th in defensive rating and 5th in pace, presenting a nice pacey opportunity in this contest coupled with a terrible defense. Kyrie absolutely erupted in yesterday’s contest, totaling 71.25 DraftKings points on the back of a 54-point performance. You probably can’t expect Kyrie to shoot 19-of-23 from the field again, but he will likely put together a strong performance in the game that currently leads the night in implied totals by a large margin.

Donovan Mitchell (SG – UTA): $7,000 @ POR
Outside of an absolute stinker in his last contest, Mitchell has been one of the more productive DFS players over the past two weeks. Shooting 1-of-12 from the field basically guarantees a weak performance, so expect to see positive regression in that regard. Not only is Mitchell likely to shoot at a better clip and score more, but the matchup is a good one as the Trail Blazers rank 26th in defensive rating and 11th in pace.
D’Angelo Russell (SG – GS): $8,500 @ CLE
In his last three contests, Russell has topped 50+ DraftKings points twice, with the third contest coming in at 38.75 points. The Golden State Warriors don’t have much currently enjoy, but Russell has proven to still be a dangerous weapon with a high ceiling on a team that currently lacks talent (on the floor at least). The matchup is also a good one as the Cleveland Cavaliers rank 29th in defensive rating.
De’Aaron Fox (PG – SAC): $8,000 vs. LAL
The Lakers are a tough matchup for any player, and that isn’t different for Fox, but Damian Lillard just scored 48 real-life points on them last night and put together a massive night altogether. Fox is coming off a massive 61.8-point performance and has proven to be a potentially high-scoring threat with a relatively high floor in the past two weeks. Fox is an intriguing option on a slate that doesn’t feature a ton of superstar options.
Forwards
Kristaps Porzingis (PF – DAL): $7,200 vs. ATL
With star PG Luka Doncic out and nursing an ankle injury, Porzingis has seen all the workload he can handle. In his first game without the Slovenian star, Porzingis registered a 56-point performance on the back of 35 real-life points while jacking up 20 shots. Expect Porzingis’ usage rate to soar while Doncic remains on the sidelines, and that’s a good thing for any player, especially one that opposes the 28th-ranked defense and 3rd-ranked pace offense in the Atlanta Hawks.
LeBron James (SF – LAL): $10,600 @ SAC
LeBron is probably the premier superstar on this slate, though he is coming off a disappointing (?) 49.5-point performance last night at the Staples Center. Playing 38 minutes, LeBron struggled with his shot, dropping only 9-of-22 shots. The point-forward took a backseat during the Dame Lillard/Anthony Davis show, but he’s always a threat to explode any given night. LeBron’s ceiling is certainly capped by Davis, but his floor is also really high.
T.J. Warren (SF – IND): $6,100 vs. NY
The New York Knicks are truly terrible, which is why just about any Indiana Pacers player will do. I elected to go with Warren because of his strong recent performances and offensive stability. One thing to note: if the Pacers do have their starting lineup back intact (Malcolm Brogdon, Myles Turner), everybody’s ceiling becomes capped. Warren is a major scoring threat that only chips in-in small doses everywhere else.
Centers
Thomas Bryant (C – WAS): $5,600 vs. BKN
The Nets have not performed well against opposing big-men this season, and that is a major positive for a guy coming off two strong performances in his last two games in Bryant. Bryant doesn’t present much of a ceiling, but he’s a solid finisher around the rim and can contribute across the entire stat sheet. The price tag also allows for a chance to not only reach value but potentially crush.
Jarrett Allen (C – BKN): $6,400 @ WAS
Ironically enough, the Wizards are also putrid at defending big-men, meaning Allen is likely in store for a big performance. Coming off back-to-back 30-point performances, Allen is a more volatile option at center, but the matchup is just fantastic in this instance.
