The NBA delivers 10 games on the hardwood for Monday night. The large slate offers up a variety of strong DFS options for your DraftKings lineups. However, despite the big slate, there isn’t too much star-power to consider that is healthy coming into Monday’s matchups, so it could be a good night to run out a balanced lineup with a bunch of mid-priced options with upside.
Note that some of the stats referenced in this article are my custom defense versus position (DvP) calculations that combines data from the season and last five games along with blending similar positions production allowed together.

One Stud
Bradley Beal (SG/SF – WAS): $10,100 vs. GS
As I mentioned in the intro there aren’t many high-priced studs to consider on Monday’s slate, but if there is one that I’m the most willing to roster it would be Beal. Beal has been on fire carrying the Wizards offense with at least 34 points in six straight games. During that stretch, Beal has put up 38.2 points, 6.0 assists, and 4.8 rebounds for 57.1 DraftKings points per game. He’ll draw a plus matchup on Monday at home against the Warriors who have allowed increased scoring (+7.4%) and assists (+9.8%) to shooting guards this season.

Core Plays
Deandre Ayton (C – PHO): $7,700 @ BKN
While there are a variety of solid center options on this slate, Ayton’s combination of salary and matchup offers the most intriguing upside of the bunch. Ayton has put up at least 45 DK points in three of his last four outings and has been more productive on the road this season which is where those three good outings were played. He gets another road matchup on Monday as the Suns travel to Brooklyn to face a Nets squad that has allowed increased production in points (+1.6%), rebounds (+11.2%), and blocks (+11.6%) to opposing big men this year.
Jayson Tatum (SF/PF – BOS): $7,500 @ ATL
There is a trio of Celtics that could have made this list including Tatum, Jaylen Brown, and Gordon Hayward. With Kemba Walker out and Marcus Smart questionable, that trio of Celtics should have plenty of opportunities to produce big numbers in a sensational up-tempo matchup against the Hawks. Tatum has scored at least 20 points and 34 DK points in five straight games and will battle a Hawks team that has given up increased production across the board to forwards this year.
Kristaps Porzingis (PF/C – DAL): $7,000 @ IND
Porzingis has feasted this season in games where Luka Doncic has been unable to play. He’ll get another one of those opportunities on Monday night in Indiana. In five games this year with Doncic out, Porzingis has put up 25.0 points and 13.4 rebounds per game for 52 DK points per night. After getting a game off on the second game of a back-to-back set, Porzingis should be back leading the charge for the Mavericks offense albeit in a slightly below-average matchup against the Pacers.
Buddy Hield (SG/SF – SAC): $6,200 vs. MIN
It seems like it was just last week that Hield was putting up 42 points against the Timberwolves to lead the Kings to a big comeback win. Oh, wait it was just last week. While Hield’s production since that game has been a little bit hit-or-miss, the matchup with the Wolves who have allowed increased scoring (+7.0%) and rebounding (+9.8%) to shooting guards should put him back on track for another good night at a reasonable price.
Value Plays
Alec Burks (PG/SG – GS): $5,300 @ WAS
Burks has probably been the most reliable fantasy option for the Warriors this season providing a solid floor with the occasional spike game. He could be set up for one of those spike performances on Monday with a matchup against the Wizards and a questionable D’Angelo Russell. The Wizards have given up increased production in points (+12.3%) and assists (+8.4%) to point guard this season and the matchup features the highest Vegas total on the slate. Burks is a solid option if Russell plays and becomes a great option if Russell is out.
Reggie Jackson (PG – DET): $4,700 @ MEM
We have now entered the Detroit Pistons portion of the article. Jackson has continued to see his minutes rise with 34 in his last game and he has continued to outproduce his very reasonable salary most nights since his return from injury. Jackson could be in line for a big night on Monday if Derrick Rose is ruled out while playing in a favorable matchup and game environment against the Grizzlies. It is an up-tempo opportunity for the Pistons while the Grizzlies have allowed a small increase in production across the board for opposing point guards this year.
Bruce Brown (PG/SF – DET): $3,800 @ MEM
Brown is coming off a big game on Sunday where he flirted with a triple-double while posting 19 points, 10 rebounds, and eight assists. While I don’t expect him to meet or exceed those numbers again on Monday, the strong performance should assure him significant minutes in a good game environment against the Grizzlies. With a dirt-cheap salary, he only needs to perform half as well to still exceed value on his $3,800 price tag.
Sekou Doumbouya (SF/PF – DET): $3,000 @ MEM
Doumbouya is a wild card on Monday’s slate. He is min-priced but has played 35 minutes in two of the last four games. However, in the other two games during that stretch, he saw a total of just eight minutes. The key for Doumbouya on Monday could be the status of Markieff Morris who sat out Sunday’s game with a hip injury. If Morris misses another game on Monday, then I would feel more confident in assuring minutes for Doumbouya who has shown some flashes of ability and upside this year.
