Point Guard
Derrick Rose (PG – DET): $6,900 vs. MEM
Rose has been very productive in his last nine games, as he totaled fewer than 32.8 FanDuel points in just one of those appearances. Since being elevated into the starting lineup, Rose has really turned the corner, improving his point totals by way of his playmaking ability. The matchup against the Memphis Grizzlies is a solid one, as they rank 22nd in defensive rating and third in pace.
Russell Westbrook (PG – HOU): $10,400 at MIN
Arguably no player has been hotter in the last week or so in DFS than Westbrook. In his past four games, Russ has topped 60-plus FanDuel points four consecutive times, collecting two triple-doubles and one double-double in the process. We’ve gotten teased with the Russ of old, and he has the potential to continue his strong play tonight with the Minnesota Timberwolves next on the schedule. The Timberwolves rank 16th in defensive rating and seventh in pace. As it currently stands, this contest leads the night in implied totals.

Shooting Guard
Marcus Smart (SG – BOS): $5,800 at ORL
The Boston Celtics are the first team you need to monitor the injury report for, as both Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum are listed as questionable heading into tonight. If either can’t play, Smart will become a playable DFS option as a starter, and if both are no-goes, Smart’s ceiling jumps even higher. The matchup is an awful one, as the Orlando Magic are a good defense and play slow, but Smart’s game has always relied on his ability to rack up stats defensively.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (SG – OKC): $8,000 vs. ATL
SGA is one of the most exciting young players in the league. He has had a strong stretch of performances over his last seven games, and he notched an impressive 48.9 FanDuel points in his last appearance. The matchup against the Atlanta Hawks is a great opportunity for SGA to continue his strong play, as the Hawks rank 25th in defensive rating and sixth in pace. Expect a fair amount of scoring in this contest.
Small Forward
Will Barton (SF – DEN): $6,200 at NO
The Denver Nuggets continue to be ravaged by injury, and Barton — among others — is one of the main beneficiaries. With Jamal Murray and Paul Millsap expected to be sidelined, Barton will get another opportunity for a higher usage rate, giving him more chances to handle the ball and score points. Barton has put together five strong performances in his last six games, and his only disappointing performance came in his most recent game, in which he totaled 27.6 FanDuel points. Still, this matchup is a great time for him to rebound because the Pelicans rank 27th in defensive rating and fourth in pace.
T.J. Warren (SF – IND): $5,600 at GSW
Starting point guard Malcolm Brogdon has been ruled out of tonight’s contest with a concussion, leaving Warren with more offensive opportunities to create and score. He’s an inconsistent player who largely relies on his ability to score buckets, but that shouldn’t be an issue against the Golden State Warriors’ 21st-ranked defense.
Power Forward
Jerami Grant (PF – DEN): $5,200 at NOR
Grant should draw another start at the four-spot tonight with Millsap sidelined, making him a strong option at a discounted price. Grant is coming off a monster 41.9-point performance, and he totaled 32.4 points in the contest prior. With the lack of options for the Nuggets and a ton of playing time available — not to mention a tremendous matchup — the stage is set for Grant to at least return value, and he could even find himself in a spot to crush.
Michael Porter Jr. (PF – DEN): $5,100 at NOR
Keep an eye on Porter’s status, as a back ailment kept him out of the Nuggets’ last contest (and ruined his college career), though it sounds like he should suit up tonight. If that’s the case, leaving Porter out of your lineups feels like a major missed opportunity since the budding young star has been incredibly productive in his last five games, with him topping 39-plus FanDuel points in three of those games. With the litany of injuries to the Nuggets’ roster and a beautiful matchup ahead, Porter could absolutely smash value if he’s a go.
Center
Montrezl Harrell (C – LAC): $6,000 at MIA
Starting small forward Paul George has been ruled out of the contest, which leaves the remainder of the Los Angeles Clippers’ roster as viable options for tonight’s slate. Trez is a hard player to peg as his minutes are inconsistent coming off the bench, but he’s a high-effort player who offers defensive upside and can finish around the rim. The matchup against the Miami Heat isn’t a good one, though Harrell will likely be asked to guard a lot of Bam Adebayo, giving him a lot of playing time to leave his mark.
