Saturday night’s slate of games features only four contests on the main slate (tips-off a 7:00 p.m. EST) and five contests on the all-day slate (tips-off at 5:00 p.m. EST). The Detroit Pistons, Oklahoma City Thunder, Minnesota Timberwolves, and Chicago Bulls are all operating on a back-to-back.

Guards
Derrick Rose (PG – DET): $7,500 vs. BKN
Rose has firmly entrenched his self as the starting point guard in Detroit and has played fairly well since being inserted into the starting lineup. The individual matchup Rose has tonight against Kyrie Irving is a strong one, and the Brooklyn Nets provide a nice pace-up spot for Rose and the Pistons as they rank 9th in pace. Rose has now scored 20 or more points in 11-straight contests, and his usage doesn’t look to be slowing down any time soon.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (SG – OKC): $7,600 @ MIN
SGA is coming off a very strong performance in his last two contests, particularly the game last night in which he totaled 43.25 DraftKings points on the back of a 24-point performance. SGA has been steady as a rock throughout the entire month and has entrenched himself as the Thunder’s main scoring threat on the starting unit. The matchup tonight is a decent one with the Timberwolves ranking 16th in defensive rating and 4th in pace.

Andrew Wiggins (SG – MIN): $7,000 vs. OKC
Like SGA, Wiggins is coming off a great performance from last night in which he totaled 41.25 DraftKings points, extending his consecutive streak of 41+ DraftKings points to two games. Wiggins is a volatile option on a nightly basis but presents a major scoring threat with the ability to rack up assists and rebounds in the process. The Thunder don’t present a great matchup, but the pickings are slim on tonight’s small slate.
LeBron James (PG – LAL): $10,400 @ PHI
The main question you have to decide on tonight is whether you want to build your lineup around James or not. LeBron has posted some inconsistent numbers in recent times, though he’s capable of erupting on any given night, as you should all know by now. PF Anthony Davis enters tonight in a questionable state on the injury report, and his absence would surely provide LeBron with a major boost entering an incredibly tough matchup against the Philadelphia 76ers.
Forwards
Thaddeus Young (PF – CHI): $4,400 @ CLE
The veteran is now a starter again in Chi-town, and he presents a nice solid pay-down option at the forward spot on DraftKings. Young is pretty cheap for somebody who will likely border 30 minutes of playing time and has the capabilities to rack up points across the stat sheet. The matchup against the Cleveland Cavaliers is a good one to boot, as they rank 29th in defensive rating.
Al Horford (PF – PHI): $6,500 vs. LAL
Since C Joel Embiid suffered a finger injury that has rendered him to the sidelines, Horford has become one of the more consistent and least volatile DFS options among all players. Horford is capable of doing basically everything on a basketball court, though his potential matchup against Anthony Davis is a major negative on tonight’s small slate. Still, Horford comes in at a fair price tag for somebody who’ll likely get a lot of playing time and usage, even against a great Los Angeles Lakers team and defense.
Danilo Gallinari (SF – OKC): $6,700 @ MIN
Like his teammate in SGA, Gallinari balled his way to a 40.5-point performance last night against the Atlanta Hawks. Gallo scored 25 real-life points and accumulated six board and three assists (as well as a steal) in the process. The forward options are minimal tonight, and Gallo does present a player with a relatively high floor and a decent-yet-capped ceiling. Gallo also benefits from the same great matchup as SGA against the Timberwolves.
Centers
Tristan Thompson (C – CLE): $5,900 vs. CHI
Thompson is one of the more volatile options across the DFS landscape, but like most of tonight, the pool we’re selecting from is quite limited. Thompson has the ability to clean-up around the rim and to rebound the hell out of the ball, but doesn’t offer a ton otherwise. The one positive? The Bulls are missing both starting PF Lauri Markkanen and starting C Wendell Carter.
Jarrett Allen (C – BKN): $6,000 @ DET
DeAndre Jordan is listed as questionable on the injury report for tonight’s contest. If Jordan does indeed miss the game, Allen becomes a decent option at the five-spot on tonight’s slate. If Jordan suits up, it certainly dampens the intrigue surrounding Allen. Still, Allen does have the ability to rebound the ball effectively and offers an exciting rim-protecting presence. The Pistons also rank 20th in defensive rating.
