We are lined up with another fun Monday night slate of NBA DFS action with seven games on tap. The salaries on DraftKings for Monday night seem a little bit depressed across the board which gives us plenty of value at all price points. The point guard position has a bunch of strong mid-priced options to choose from and there are some value big men who should destroy their expected value given their inexpensive salary. It could be another high scoring night in DFS.
Note that some of the stats referenced in this article are my custom defense versus position (DvP) calculations that combines data from the season and last five games along with blending similar positions production allowed together.

One Stud
LeBron James (PG/SF – LAL): $9,500 vs. CLE
James missed the last game due to illness but is expected to return to the lineup for Monday’s matchup with the Cavaliers. Anthony Davis is questionable to play, and I expect him to sit out again, which leaves James as the primary scoring option as he sees a 5.5% usage increase with Davis off the court. James has a very reasonable salary and should anchor your cash game lineup as long as Davis is out.

Core Plays
Brandon Ingram (SF/PF – NO): $8,100 @ DET
Ingram’s minutes and production were down in the Pelicans blowout loss to the Celtics their last time out, but prior to that Ingram strung together three straight games with at least 28 points, six rebounds, and 51 DraftKings points. He put up 31 points and six boards for 45 DK points in a previous meeting with the Pistons. The Pistons have allowed increased production in points (+8.4%) and secondary stats like steals (+22.7%) and blocks (+40.9%) which could allow Ingram to reach his upside potential in this matchup.
De’Aaron Fox (PG – SAC): $7,400 vs. ORL
I love the mid-range point guard options on this slate including Fox. He is coming off one of his best games of the season with a near triple-double against the Bucks and has put up at least 37 DK points in three straight games. Fox has provided significantly better production at home this season which is where the Kings will be for a matchup with the Magic in what should be a close affair. If you need to save a few bucks, then you can also consider Lonzo Ball ($6,900) instead of Fox.
Chris Paul (PG – OKC): $6,600 @ MIN
The second mid-priced point guard that I’m interested in, Chris Paul, will actually be the first point guard I plug into my lineups tonight. Paul will face a Timberwolves club that he lit up the last time he played them with 30 points and seven rebounds for 50 DK points. Paul has consistently been outproducing his salary which is for some reason lower on Monday night then it has been in weeks. The Timberwolves have allowed increased production to point guards in points (+10.0%) and rebounds (+2.1%) this season, which sets up Paul for another strong game.
Kyle Kuzma (SF/PF – LAL): $5,900 vs. CLE
As I mentioned above, I expect Anthony Davis to miss another game on Monday, which will put Kuzma into the starting lineup again. Over the last two games, while starting, Kuzma has put up 31.0 points and 6.5 rebounds per game. Granted one of those outings was also without James, but Kuzma played 34 minutes while putting up 37.5 DraftKings points in the game with James and without Davis which is likely what you should expect in his matchup with the Cavaliers.
Value Plays
Miles Bridges (SF/PF – CHA): $5,600 @ POR
Bridges has been on a roll for the Hornets over his last five games playing 33 minutes per night while averaging 16.0 points and 7.2 rebounds. He is also contributing in other categories for an all-around stat line with 3.0 assists, 1.2 steals, and 1.0 blocks per game during that stretch. Bridges should continue to produce strong numbers against the Blazers who have given up a slight bump in points (+2.8%) and a significant increase in rebounds (+19.1%) to small forwards this season.
Enes Kanter (C – BOS): $5,400 vs. CHI
It has felt like Kanter was a ticking time bomb ready to explode for the last few games and he finally did in his last outing with 22 points and 19 rebounds for 48 DK points in just 23 minutes. Many might write that game off as a fluke, but he is set up nicely to repeat that performance on Monday against the Bulls. The Bulls have been crushed by opposing big men this season including giving up increased production in points (+11.5%), rebounds (+6.0%), and blocks (43.5%). Kanter could also see a spike in his minutes if Daniel Theis, who is questionable with a knee injury, doesn’t play. If Theis is out, then lock-button Kanter into all of your lineups.
Jaxson Hayes (C – NO): $4,600 @ DET
Hayes is typically productive when he is given the chance to play for the Pelicans. He has averaged over 26 minutes in the last three games while putting up 17.3 points, 8.0 rebounds, and 2.7 blocks per game. Watch the status of Derrick Favors heading into Monday night’s matchup with the Pistons. If Favors is ruled out again, then don’t be afraid to fire up Hayes with his inexpensive price tag.
Svi Mykhailiuk (SG/SF – DET): $3,200 vs. NO
The three-point snipper, Mykhailiuk, has played at least 28 minutes in seven straight games for the Pistons. In those seven games, he has topped 20 DK points in six of them. While that might not sound like much, it is when your salary is just $3,200. On Monday, he’ll face a Pelicans team that has allowed the fourth-most three-point attempts and the seventh-highest three-point percentage to shooting guards this year. Bombs away!
