Point Guard
Aaron Holiday (PG – IND): $4,100 at BKN
Starting point guard Malcolm Brogdon has been ruled out of tonight’s game with a back injury, leaving Holiday in the starting lineup as the ball-handler. Holiday started last game at the one-spot, totaling 30.3 FanDuel points on the night. The matchup is a good one as the Brooklyn Nets are ranked 21st in defensive rating and fourth in pace. Holiday hasn’t really put together any contest where he’s exploded, but he’s consistently hovered around value.

Point Guard

Collin Sexton (PG – CLE): $5,700 at NY
Sexton has quietly become a very solid player, scoring over 25 FanDuel points in all of his past four games and in five of his past six. Sexton’s matchup against the New York Knicks represents the 22nd-ranked team in defensive rating and 27th in pace. The Knicks play incredibly slow, which will surely limit opportunities for both sides, but they are very weak defensively, and Sexton isn’t too highly-priced. Keep an eye on starting power forward Kevin Love as he’s iffy for tonight’s contest.
Shooting Guard
James Harden (SG – HOU): $12,500 vs. POR
Harden is the star I chose to insert into the lineup as his matchup against the Portland Trail Blazers is a great one, and he’s simply more dependable than Russell Westbrook at this point. The addition of Westbrook really hasn’t done much to slow Harden down, as he still leads the league in usage rate at 40.3%, which is actually an increase from last year. Harden has scored 60+ FanDuel points in seven straight contests and now faces the 19th-ranked team in defensive rating and 10th-ranked team in pace.
Fred VanVleet (SG – TOR): $7,800 vs. CHA
The Toronto Raptors have arguably the best matchup of the day against the Charlotte Hornets, which is why I think it’s wise to find some exposure if you can. VanVleet is a high-priced stud who’s starting in place of the injured Kyle Lowry. FVV has scored 40+ FanDuel points in four of his past five games, and the Hornets rank 23rd in defensive rating and 22nd in pace. FVV has been relied on to play a ton of real-life minutes, eclipsing 35 of them in seven straight games.
Small Forward
T.J. Warren (SF – IND): $6,000 at BKN
Warren hasn’t been extremely productive in his past two games, which is likely why his price was reduced to this current amount. One of those contests was due to foul trouble, which eventually led to him fouling out. Still, when playing, Warren is a great scoring option for a team that’s missing their star point guard and could be without their entire starting backcourt with Jeremy Lamb potentially out along with Brogdon. The same weak Nets’ defense is the reason why I’d feel alright playing both Warren and Holiday.
Rodney Hood (SF – POR): $4,500 at HOU
Hood doesn’t start for the Trail Blazers, but he’s an instant scoring punch off the bench for his squad. Hood is fairly priced and will compete in the game that leads the night in implied total, leading you to want as much exposure as possible to this contest. Since returning from injury, Hood has scored 22+ FanDuel points in both contests, playing in over 30+ real-life minutes in both games.
Power Forward
Rondae Hollis-Jefferson (PF – TOR): $4,400 vs. CHA
Like Hood, Hollis-Jefferson is a bench piece that offers a ton of ability for the Raptors. One thing to note is the lineup/usage as starting SF O.G. Anunoby is healthy now, but RHJ should have a solidified role off the bench as he offers lockdown defensive ability, instant physicality, and juice. RHJ has the ability to fill up the stat sheet by chipping in scoring around the basket, rebounding the ball with toughness, and using his defensive prowess.
LaMarcus Aldridge (PF – SA): $8,000 at DAL
Aldridge absolutely erupted last game as he scored 52.6 FanDuel points against the Trail Blazers, securing a 30-13-2-1-1 line on the night. The explosions have been few and far between for Aldridge, but he does face the Dallas Mavericks that rank 18th in defensive rating and 20th in pace. The San Antonio Spurs will need to lean on Aldridge moving forward, which could and should lead to more opportunities for him to score.
Center
Myles Turner (C – IND): $6,900 at BKN
Turner is the third Pacer in this lineup, but he may be the best play of the trio. He’ll benefit from the same strong matchup that Warren and Holiday have, but Turner probably has the best chance to erupt for big points. In his first game back in a while, Turner scored 45.2 FanDuel points. Turner immediately double-doubled, chipping in another four blocks and a steal. Turner’s return is a major improvement for the Pacers.
