Coming off a nice Thanksgiving break, tonight’s slate features a whopping 12-games on the schedule, with another tipping off at noon (not included in the main slate). With so many teams playing, you should be able to construct many suitable lineups that stand out compared to the chalkier options. Tip-off locks at 7 p.m. EST.

Point Guard
Ben Simmons (PG – PHI): $8,900 @ NY
Simmons hasn’t played very well recently, but he’s an interesting target for two reasons: the first being the New York Knicks’ weak defense in which they rank 22nd in defensive rating, and PF Al Horford is scheduled to miss the contest due to rest. The lack of Horford will allow Simmons to not only handle the ball more often but to contribute more offensively and specifically have a shot to accrue more defensive statistics (rebounds).
Kendrick Nunn (PG – MIA): $5,600 vs. GS
The Golden State Warriors are ranked 28th in defensive rating and 13th in pace. The Miami Heat also rank a league-average 16th in pace, making this an intriguing contest to target as both teams should have opportunities to score. Anytime you target the Warriors or their opponents, you run the risk of a potential blowout, so that is something to keep in mind. Still, Nunn is a solid player who excels as a scorer but has struggled recently. He’s due for a big game sometime soon, and there aren’t many better opportunities than the Warriors.

Shooting Guard
Zach LaVine (SG – CHI): $7,100 @ POR
This contest between the Chicago Bulls and Portland Trail Blazers is expected to feature a lot of scoring and no option is more intriguing than the sizzling-hot LaVine. In two of his past three contests, LaVine was able to score 55+ FanDuel points on the back of 36 and 49-point performances. The Trail Blazers rank 21st in defensive rating and 8th in pace, with the Bulls ranking 10th in pace. This game expected to be one of the pacier contests of the night, which makes it a wise one to target.
Jeremy Lamb (SG – IND): $6,800 vs. ATL
Since returning from an extended absence, Lamb has been very solid scoring 25+ FanDuel points in all three contests and 31+ points twice in that same span. Lamb’s price remains high and with good reason: the Atlanta Hawks are ranked 29th in defensive rating and 12th in pace. They’re one of the best teams to target on this large slate. Predicting who will go off for the Indiana Pacers is tough, but there’s a good bet the entirety of the team performs well against a weak defense in the Hawks.
Small Forward
LeBron James (SF – LAL): $11,400 vs. WAS
This contest between the Los Angeles Lakers and Washington Wizards currently owns the highest implied total of the night, giving you every reason to target this game heavily. The Wizards rank 30th in defensive rating and 4th in pace. They’re literally a dream opponent to target, and there are no better options than the Washed King himself. James has been on an absolute tear this season, but you’ll need to decide whether he or Anthony Davis is the better play in this contest, both of which are likely to go off.
Matisse Thybulle (SF – PHI): $3,500 @ NY
With Horford being ruled out for rest purposes, Thybulle is expected to enter the starting lineup for tonight’s contest against the Knicks. Thybulle has played sparingly, though he has been very productive when relied upon, especially when given adequate minutes to produce. Thybulle is an excellent defender who can score DFS points in a variety of ways. Not to mention, he comes in at the bare minimum with his price tag.
Power Forward
PJ Washington (PF – CHA): $5,200 @ DET
I decided to pay down at the four-spot on today’s slate as none of the top options really endeared me. Washington is coming off a productive game in which he scored 29 FanDuel points but has struggled in the majority of his recent contests. This game features two incredibly slow teams, but the Detroit Pistons do rank 20th in defensive rating, giving us some hope that Washington can return value.
Dario Saric (PF – PHO): $5,000 vs. DAL
Saric has been absolutely lights out as he’s scored 43 and 44 FanDuel points in his past two contests. PG Ricky Rubio could play today which has a chance to impact Saric, but it’s not a certainty. As for Saric, he’s chipped in a ton of rebounds and more ancillary stats (particularly on defense) to help him explode in his past two games. The Dallas Mavericks rank 16th in defensive rating and 17th in pace.
Center
Steven Adams (C – OKC): $6,500 vs. NO
The New Orleans Pelicans are among the worst defenses in the NBA as they rank 27th in defensive rating, but not only that, they also rank 5th in pace. It’s a juicy matchup for the Oklahoma City Thunder, particularly for Adams who gets to oppose a rookie in Jaxson Hayes. Adams is coming off a rough outing against the Trail Blazers, though his two previous games both netted 32+ FanDuel points.
