Now that we are two weeks into the NBA season we are seeing quite a few players go down with injuries. This provides us an opportunity to find some solid value players. Also, we can now start to get a sense of which teams are terrible defensively and where certain players should be in line for consistent scoring. With that said let’s take a look at some of tonight’s options.

Guards
Malcolm Brogdon (G – IND): $8,100 vs. WAS
Brogdon is off to a great start this season and is averaging 22.5 points per game to go along with 9.7 assists per game. He has been averaging approximately 47.8 fantasy points over his six games this season. Brogdon gets to play the Wizards who give up 10th most fantasy points to opposing guards and have the 27th ranked defense in the NBA measured by defensive rating. Brogdon should be in for a big night and easily get you over 50 fantasy points in this DraftKings contest.
Luke Kennard (G – DET): $6,000 vs. NYK
Kennard is coming off one of the best games of his NBA career against the Wizards. He is getting all the minutes he can handle with Derrick Rose out with an injury. Kennard is playing against the Knicks who rank 21st in the NBA in defensive rating and allow the 12th most points to opposing shooting guards. Kennard should easily exceed 30 fantasy points in this contest.

Markelle Fultz (G – ORL): $4,100 @ DAL
Fultz is officially the starter for the Magic and has slowly progressed throughout this young season. He looks primed for a breakout game and it could come against the Mavericks who are currently ranked 20th on defense. Fultz is a hit or miss candidate who hasn’t played more than 27 minutes in any game. This is a bit of gamble but could pay massive dividends as Fultz could easily exceed 30 fantasy points.
Josh Okogie(G – MIN): $4,000 @ MEM
Okogie could be a great value play if Jeff Teague ends up missing the contest vs the Grizzlies. The Grizzlies give up the 3rd most fantasy points to opposing guards and currently rank 17th on defense. Okogie should pick up all the minutes he can handle and should easily provide his owners with over 25 fantasy points.
Forwards
Giannis Antetokounmpo (F – MIL): $11,700 @ LAC
Antetokunmpo is a must-play with Kawhi Leonard out tonight. The Clippers are a tough matchup normally, but missing their best defender will hurt them tremendously. Antetokunmpo has no sign of slowing down this season and is currently providing about 62 fantasy points per game. There is no reason to think he misses that mark against the Clippers, in fact, he might even hit 70 fantasy points.
Jabari Parker (F – ATL): $6,300 vs. CHI
Parker has decent value tonight with John Collins being suspended for 25 games. Parker has provided around 23 fantasy points a game and should be able to easily exceed that tonight against the Bulls who give up third-most fantasy points to opposing power forwards. The Bulls have the 19th rated defense in the NBA and Parker should have extra motivation to put up some big numbers against his former team. Look for him to easily give you more than 30 fantasy points tonight.
Eric Paschall (F – GSW): $6,500 @ HOU
Paschall is coming off a fantastic game against the Blazers where he put up 34 points and 13 rebounds. He will get the start again tonight against a Rockets team who is surprisingly the 28th ranked defense in the NBA and allow the most fantasy points to opposing power forwards. Paschall could be in line for another big night and should be able to give you over 30 fantasy points.
Otto Porter Jr. (F – CHI): $4,500 @ ATL
Porter Jr. has been maddeningly inconsistent this season but at this price point its worth taking a gamble on him. The Hawks surprisingly have 10th ranked defense in the NBA but do allow the 4th most fantasy points to opposing small forwards While the rest of his team might struggle, Porter Jr. should be able to put together a decent stat line and get you over 25 fantasy points.
Centers
Karl-Anthony Towns (C – MIN): $10,000 @ MEM
Towns is coming back after a 2 game suspension and should be relatively fresh and energized to be back on the court. He goes up against the Grizzlies who are ranked 17th in the NBA in defense but that shouldn’t matter here. Towns has been putting together an MVP like stat line and should post nearly a triple-double against the Grizzlies. Look for him to exceed 60 fantasy points in this contest.
Julius Randle (F/C – NYK): $6,800 @ DET
Randle is a double-double machine and should have no issue doing that against the Pistons who have the 25th ranked defense in the NBA. Randle has been averaging 34 fantasy points a game but had one of his worst games against the Kings where he only put up 19.3 fantasy points. Randle should bounce back nicely in this contest and look for him to get closer to his 34 fantasy point average.
Goga Bitadze(C – IND): $4,200 vs. WAS
Bitadze can be a nice value play if Myles Turner is ruled for tonight’s contest. In games where he’s gotten 20 or more minutes, BItadze has averaged around 30 fantasy points. It’s a bonus that he matches up against the Wizards who allow the 4th most fantasy points to opposing centers and have the 26th ranked defense in the NBA. BItadze should still play significant minutes even if Turner plays tonight. Look for Bitadze to put up over 25 fantasy points tonight.
