Monday night begins the final week of the MLB regular season with a small five-game slate. With the small slate, it is slim pickings both on the mound and when searching for value at the plate. Pitchers
Patrick Corbin (WAS): $11,800 vs. PHI
The salary for Corbin on Monday night is more than I really want to pay for him, but with limited options on the short slate, he is still a priority in cash games. Corbin has pitched great at home for the Nationals this season with a 2.00 ERA, .234 wOBA allowed, and a 30.5% strikeout rate. He is coming off an 11-strikeout performance through six innings against the Cardinals. With the Nationals still fighting for a playoff spot and positioning in the National League, Corbin and the team should have plenty of motivation for a good performance and a win against the Phillies.
