FanDuel MLB Lineup Advice: Tuesday (8/6)

Our last article was fantastic with almost every player producing well above expectations and we’re going to look to keep rolling here. There’s a good mixture of aces and duds out there, so that should make for an interesting slate.  One thing that you need to consider is the weather. All of the east coast games are dealing with rain on this slate and about half of the games have ugly forecasts. So, be sure to check in on that before submitting lineups.

Pitcher

Dinelson Lamet (SD): $6,500 at SEA
This price really surprises me. You can look at DraftKings and see that Lamet is above $8,000 over there, which is more indicative of the upside this guy presents. We’re talking about a pitcher with a 29 percent K rate and a career xFIP in the 4.00-range. That’s awesome against a lineup like this, with the Mariners ranking bottom-10 in runs scored, OPS, OBP and xwOBA since the opening month. That doesn’t even take into consideration that they sit 28th in K rate, as Lamet should be an easy bet for 6-7 Ks.

Catcher/First Base

Jesus Aguilar (TB): $2,500 vs. TOR
A trade to the Rays is just what the doctor ordered for Aguilar, as it’s directly put him back into fantasy relevance. Batting third or fourth in the last two games tells you everything you need to know and that alone makes him a great bargain at this price. That move up in the order is no surprise when you consider his .496 SLG and .838 OPS dating back to 2017. He’s been hitting much better recently too, providing a .346 AVG, .654 SLG and 1.054 OPS over his last 21 games. Not to mention, he opposes Trent Thornton and his 5.23 ERA and 1.50 WHIP.
