DraftKings MLB Lineup Advice: Tuesday (8/13)

As usual, Tuesday delivers a full slate of MLB action. Also, as usual, with such a large slate there are numerous ways to consider building your DraftKings lineup. Tonight, I am recommending taking a balanced approach both on the mound and at the plate even though there are some tempting high-priced options to consider. Don’t worry, if you must have your high-priced studs there are some routes to get there which are uncovered in this article as well.

As always, be sure to pay close attention to the lineups when they are released and monitor the weather leading up to game time. For reference throughout the season, be sure to bookmark our overview of MLB Park Factors and how to Use Weather to Your Advantage in MLB DFS.

Pitchers

Matthew Boyd (DET): $10,300 vs. SEA
I see two ways to address pitcher on Tuesday’s slate. Either you take a balanced approach as I am recommending with Boyd and Jack Flaherty, or you snag one of the high-priced aces and pair him with Martin Perez. I’m going to roll with the balanced approach in cash games starting with Boyd. Before hitting a bump in his last start Boyd had topped 20 DraftKings points in six of his previous seven starts which included a 28.7 DK point effort versus the Mariners. In his career, Boyd has allowed a mere .204 wOBA with a 42.5% strikeout rate in 40 plate appearances by Mariners hitters. Also, over the last 30 days, the Mariners have a registered a league-high 29.4% strikeout rate versus southpaws.
