FanDuel MLB Lineup Advice: Wednesday (7/3)

This is one of those rare Wednesday’s where almost every game is a night game. That’s something we have to love as DFS players and it makes our jobs so much easier. There is one doubleheader though (CWS-DET) and that always makes things fishy. That tends to lead to funky lineups in the second half of the doubleheader and that’s annoying considering that I believe it’s one of the most stackable games on the board.

Pitcher

Chris Sale (BOS): $11,200 at TOR
Is there any question that Sale is the best pitching option on the board? This dude is whiffing batters at an unsightly pace and he should roll right through this lineup. Over his last 13 starts, Sale is pitching to a 2.81 ERA and 0.91 WHIP while striking out 134 batters across 83.1 innings. Yeah, 134 batters in just 83.1 innings. Obviously, that’s the best K rate in the league in that span and it should continue against Toronto. The Blue Jays currently rank 22nd in K rate, 21st in runs scored and 26th in OPS

Catcher/First Base

Miguel Cabrera (DET): $2,900 at CWS
I’ve written over 100 articles this season and this is my first mention of Miggy. While the hall-of-famer has seen his production fall off a cliff, I love him in this matchup. The reason for that is because he gets to face Ross Detweiler, who’s pitching to a 5.17 ERA and 1.61 WHIP dating back to 2013. That’s why he’s been in the minors more often than not and his .359 wOBA and .298 AVG allowed to righties makes him scary against Cabrera. Miggy has had most of his success against southpaws this season too, posting a 1.004 OPS against them.
