Here we go with the 11th week of finding ignored pitchers turned serviceable for a day. Please take note that rotations are still dicey early in the season, so most of these streaming options are projected starters who aren’t set in stone. That especially holds true for games played later in the week, so be sure to double-check the official announcements as we move closer to each date. Got it? Good!
I am looking for pitchers who are owned in less than 30 percent of Yahoo leagues. Occasionally a recommendation will exceed that threshold if they are in a particularly favorable streaming situation.
Now let’s dive into the good stuff!

Monday, June 10
Anibal Sanchez (WAS) at Chicago White Sox (14%)
Sanchez took off a few weeks in mid-May, but it appears that he’s fully healthy at the moment. Allowing just one earned run with 14 strikeouts through 11.1 innings over his last two starts serves as the evidence. Sanchez should have an excellent opportunity to rack up another quality start while contending for a win against the White Sox on Monday.
Other Options: Jerad Eickhoff (PHI) vs. ARI (19%), Sandy Alcantara (MIA) vs. STL (7%)

Dakota Hudson (STL) at Miami (13%)
Hudson has been reasonably effective while currently holding a 3.70 ERA on the season. He has allowed just one earned run through 12.1 innings over his past two starts, but issuing seven walks with seven strikeouts across that span limits his upside. However, he’ll face a Miami team that represents one of the worst offenses in baseball. Starting in pitcher-friendly Marlins Park helps the cause as well.
Other Options: Trent Thornton (TOR) at BAL (6%), John Means (BAL) vs. TOR (38%)
Wednesday, June 12
Cal Quantrill (SD) at San Francisco (2%)
Quantrill has looked pretty good over his last few starts. The San Diego hurler has posted 16 strikeouts with five earned runs over 11 innings against Toronto and Philadelphia. That really piques my interest for Wednesday’s outing at San Francisco, aided by the pitcher-friendly environment of Oracle Park. As of Saturday, the Giants are tied with the Marlins for the worst wRC+ in MLB.
Other Options: Danny Duffy (KC) vs. DET (9%)
Thursday, June 13
We have been doing these columns for 11 weeks now, and this is the first day without a streaming option. Take a break here and strategize for the weekend.
Friday, June 14
Trevor Richards (MIA) vs. Pittsburgh (29%)
Richards’ ownership has doubled since last week, and it’s easy to see why. The Miami righty has looked great lately while allowing just two earned runs with 19 strikeouts across 17.2 innings over his last three starts. We can see a spike in popularity if Richards keeps cruising in Saturday’s date with Atlanta. Regardless of how that start plays out, I like him in this spot. He’s pitching at home against a Pirates offense that ranks 20th in wRC+.
Other Options: Chris Bassitt (OAK) vs. SEA (38%)
Saturday, June 15
Chase Anderson (MIL) at San Francisco (19%)
Anderson is scheduled to pitch this Sunday against Pittsburgh. I’ll be looking for some semblance of a bounce-back after the Milwaukee righty surrendered four earned runs (with 6 Ks) across four innings against Miami on June 4. If Anderson is granted another start in Week 11, it will be a good one at San Francisco in Oracle Park. As mentioned earlier, the Giants are tied for last in wRC+ this season.
Other Options: CC Sabathia (NYY) at CWS (25%), Pablo Lopez (MIA) vs. PIT (14%)
Sunday, June 16
Sandy Alcantara (MIA) vs. PIT (7%)
Alcantara is a bit of an enigma. His 46 strikeouts and 32 walks in 71 innings don’t support sustained success, but he has flourished of late with a 1.67 ERA in his last four starts. This is another opportunity to target Pittsburgh’s lackluster matchup at Marlins Park, and the erratic 23-year-old righty has shown a high ceiling when locked in this season.
Other Options: Dakota Hudson (STL) at NYM (13%)
