Corey Seager (SS- LAD) hit the 10-day injured list June 13 with a hamstring strain that occurred while trying to score from second base. The initial response suggested a Grade 2 or Grade 3 strain, but the MRI revealed that it is more in the Grade 1-Grade 2 range. The Dodgers expect him to miss four to six weeks. Chris Taylor could see more of a full-time role in his absence.
Noah Syndergaard (SP – NYM) was placed on the 10-day injured list June 16 with a hamstring strain. He felt pain near the end of Saturday’s start and left in the seventh inning. He is currently scheduled to have an MRI and does not yet have a timetable to return.
Yoan Moncada (2B/3B – CHW) came out of June 10’s game early with upper back tightness. He returned Sunday, but left that game early as well. He is currently listed as day-to-day.
Domingo German (SP – NYY) went on the IL June 9, retroactive to June 8, with a left hip flexor strain and does not yet have a timetable for his return. He had been pitching through the injury for a while and is now expected to get the rest he needs.
Here are a few more injuries to track this week.
