Welcome to the FanDuel MLB Lineup Advice primer for Saturday, June 8. Take note that these recommendations were organized earlier in the day, and circumstances could change once the lineup cards are released. However, the following players represent your best targets to consider, and any notable contingencies will be outlined in their write-ups. I will be looking at the eight-game main slate starting at 7:15 p.m. ET.

Pitcher
Rich Hill (LAD): $10,000 at SF
Hill is a fantastic play in this slate against a San Francisco team that ties Miami for last in wRC+ this season. It doesn’t hurt that he’s starting in pitcher-friendly Oracle Park either. The opportunity cost in tonight’s evening slate is somewhat subdued, and Hill checks in with a smaller price tag than Max Scherzer ($11,700). The Dodgers are -215 moneyline favorites on the road, and Hill should be able to get the job done for his real team and fantasy squads alike.
Other Pitchers to consider: Max Scherzer (WAS), Jon Gray (COL)

First Base
Edwin Encarnacion (SEA): $3,700 at LAA
The Angels have called-up southpaw Dillon Peters, who is expected to start tonight. That’s good news for the Seattle bats, particularly those of the right-handed variety. Encarnacion has been warming up as of late with seven hits, four homers, and eight RBIs over his last seven games while looking at a promising matchup to keep rewarding fantasy backers.
Other First Basemen to consider: Paul Goldschmidt (STL), Max Muncy (LAD)
Second Base
Brian Dozier (WAS): $2,700 at SD
Dozier was pretty bad to begin the season, but he’s a streaky hitter who is capable of paying fantasy dividends when things are going his way. Well, things are going his way at the moment, as Dozier has racked up eight hits, two doubles, two homers, five RBIs, and five runs over his past four starts. The park factor isn’t great in San Diego, but Dozier is a lefty-masher who will face Padres LHP Eric Lauer and his .335 wOBA split to right-handed bats.
Other Second Basemen to consider: Jurickson Profar (OAK), Jed Gyorko (STL)
Third Base
Matt Chapman (OAK): $3,900 at TEX
I’m definitely looking for exposure to Oakland’s offense tonight, as it sees a sizable park shift in Texas. The matchup is favorable as well, taking on Rangers RHP Adrian Sampson and his .399 wOBA against righties. Chapman is one of Oakland’s best hitters to take advantage of those positive factors, and I’m willing to utilize him through all formats on FanDuel.
Other Third Basemen to consider: Asdrubal Cabrera (TEX), Todd Frazier (NYM)
Shortstop
Marcus Semien (OAK): $3,400 at TEX
Semien tails the previous write-up of his teammate, Chapman. Sampson’s poor splits against righties put Semien on the map to capitalize on Globe Life Park’s hitter-friendly boost. The Oakland shortstop has notched eight hits, two homers (both on Friday night), seven RBIs, and five runs over his past three games, and he’s in a prime spot to add more tonight.
Other Shortstops to consider: Paul DeJong (STL), David Fletcher (LAA)
Outfield
Michael Conforto (NYM): $3,500 vs. COL
Per the theme of this article, Conforto is another streaky hitter who is warming up at the moment. The Mets outfielder has collected four hits with two homers and one stolen base over his past three starts. Tonight’s matchup looks reasonably good against Colorado RHP Jon Gray, who has allowed a .350 wOBA to left-handed batters. Gray is working through an injury as well, and that could help Conforto if the righty is less than 100%.
Domingo Santana (SEA): $3,100 at LAA
As mentioned earlier, the Angels called up a lefty rotational filler, Peters, to start against the Mariners. Santana should be licking his chops as a result. The Seattle outfielder is on fire with six hits and three round-trippers over his last three starts, which includes an impressive two-homer performance last night. He’s poised for more upside in this favorable spot.
Other Outfielders to consider: Khris Davis (OAK), Joc Pederson (LAD), Kyle Schwarber (CHC), Jeff McNeil (NYM), Chad Pinder (OAK)
