Welcome to the FanDuel MLB Lineup Advice primer for Saturday, June 22. Take note that these recommendations were organized earlier in the day, and circumstances could change once the lineup cards are released. However, the following players represent your best targets to consider, and any notable contingencies will be outlined in their write-ups. We will be looking at the five-game main slate starting at 7:15 p.m. ET.

Pitcher
Hyun-Jin Ryu (LAD): $10,600 vs. COL
Ryu has been absolutely dominant this season, currently sporting a 1.26 ERA that leads all qualified starting pitchers. He’s a strong -280 moneyline favorite at home while facing a Colorado offense that is less threatening away from Coors Field. In fact, they rank 29th in wRC+ (73) on the road, just barely edging the lowly Marlins. Don’t forget that lefty-masher Trevor Story recently landed on the injured list as well. Due to those reasons, I’m not overthinking my cash-game pitcher tonight: Ryu is the guy.
Other Pitchers to consider: Masahiro Tanaka (NYY), Anibal Sanchez (WAS)

First Base
Max Muncy (LAD): $3,700 vs. COL
Muncy is heating up during a nine-game hitting streak with four homers, eight runs, and eight RBIs. I’m optimistic he’ll make it to double-digits while helping those other categories as well. Colorado RHP Peter Lambert was absolutely shelled for eight earned runs and nine hits through three innings against the Padres (at Coors) last Sunday. The Dodgers won’t take it easy on him, and Muncy could lead the charge.
Other First Basemen to consider: Christian Walker (ARI), Brandon Belt (SF)
Second Base
Rougned Odor (TEX): $2,800 vs. CWS
The Rangers check in with the highest run-scoring projection of this evening slate. That doesn’t come as much of a surprise considering the draw against White Sox RHP Odrisamer Despaigne, who has allowed 10 earned runs and 16 hits through 10.1 innings this season. Despaigne is a journeyman pitcher who is nothing more than a rotational filler at this stage in his career. He holds a career .345 wOBA split to left-handed bats for Odor and company to exploit this evening.
Other Second Basemen to consider: Enrique Hernandez (LAD), Joe Panik (SF)
Third Base
Asdrubal Cabrera (TEX): $2,900 vs. CWS
Cabrera is currently appealing a four-game suspension, so you’ll want to double-check that he’s actually in the lineup tonight. If given the starting nod, the Rangers’ third baseman makes for an economical lift against the aforementioned generosity of Despaigne. I’m not shy when stacking Texas bats this evening, as they make for a reasonably-priced complement to Ryu at pitcher.
Other Third Basemen to consider: Eduardo Escobar (ARI), Justin Turner (LAD)
Shortstop
Chris Taylor (LAD): $2,600 vs. COL
Taylor has served as the Dodgers’ regular shortstop with Corey Seager injured. The Los Angeles utility man is starting to pick up steam with those regular at-bats, collecting seven hits with two doubles, five runs, and seven RBIs over his past four games. It’s hard to believe Taylor is only $2,600 on FanDuel, making him an easy lift at an otherwise underwhelming position.
Other Shortstops to consider: Elvis Andrus (TEX), Nick Ahmed (ARI)
Outfield
David Peralta (ARI): $3,500 vs. SF
It’s pretty crazy that we are this far into the article before mentioning Arizona’s offense. The Diamondbacks find themselves in a beautiful home draw against San Francisco RHP Tyler Beede, who currently sports an inflated 6.67 ERA. Most of that damage has come via left-handed bats, as Beede holds a .425 wOBA split (through limited MLB innings) in that regard. Eduardo Escobar and Peralta are the most sensible choices to take advantage.
Nomar Mazara (TEX): $3,000 vs. CWS
Mazara is a strong mid-range choice within a viable Texas stack. I already outlined the reasons for pursuing the Rangers’ offense tonight, and Mazara sets up nicely against Despaigne’s susceptibilities. The Texas outfielder has smacked multiple hits in two of his past three games with a 505-foot homer to boot. His upside should shine brightly tonight.
Other Outfielders to consider: Cody Bellinger (LAD), Shin-Soo Choo (TEX), Adam Jones (ARI), Danny Santana (TEX), Joc Pederson (LAD)
