Take note that these recommendations were organized earlier in the day, and circumstances could change once the lineup cards are released. However, the following players represent your best targets to consider, and any notable contingencies will be outlined in their write-ups. We will be looking at the 15-game main slate starting at 7:05 ET.

Pitcher
Frankie Montas (OAK): $8,800 at DET
Montas is in a favorable spot tonight. He checks in as a -170 road favorite against a Tigers’ offense that ranks 27th in wRC+ (77) with the second-highest strikeout rate at 26.4%. Montas has been somewhat unlucky while failing to pick up a victory despite allowing just four earned runs through 16.1 innings (16 K) over his last three starts. He should find himself in the win column tonight with an excellent opportunity to post another quality start.
Other Pitchers to consider: Jacob deGrom (NYM), Joey Lucchesi (SD)

First Base
Carlos Santana (CLE): $3,700 vs. BAL
Cleveland makes for an intriguing stack tonight, squaring off against Baltimore RHP Dylan Bundy and an unimposing Orioles’ bullpen. Bundy carries a .384 wOBA split to left-handed bats, and Santana could easily take advantage as a switch-hitter who profiles better from that side of the plate. Go ahead and keep your eye on the Cleveland first baseman along with teammates Jason Kipnis, Francisco Lindor, Jose Ramirez, and others.
Other First Basemen to consider: Paul Goldschmidt (STL), Max Muncy (LAD)
Second Base
Jason Kipnis (CLE): $2,800 vs. BAL
Let’s keep the theme with Cleveland by looking towards Kipnis, who has broken out with six hits, two doubles, two homers, and seven RBIs over his past four starts. Facing this shaky Baltimore pitching staff will do that for you. Kipnis will look to keep his heater alive while holding a premium lineup spot against Bundy’s aforementioned .384 wOBA split to left-handed bats. The salary hasn’t caught up to the recent uptick in production, creating a nice DFS opportunity.
Other Second Basemen to consider: Eric Sogard (TOR), Jonathan Villar (BAL)
Third Base
Eduardo Escobar (ARI): $4,100 vs. SF
Escobar is somewhat pricey, but I really like him in this matchup. The Arizona infielder is swinging a confident bat with six hits, two homers, five runs, and six RBIs over his past three games. Escobar is a switch-hitter with upside from both sides of the plate, and he’ll look to jump all over San Francisco RHP Jeff Samardjiza’s .375 wOBA split to left-handed bats.
Other Third Basemen to consider: Tommy La Stella (LAA), Matt Carpenter (STL)
Shortstop
Corey Seager (LAD): $2,900 at CIN
Seager has been mediocre this season while currently sporting a .242 average. However, he’s starting to turn things around with five hits, one homer, three runs, and five RBIs over his past three games. Seager could have a breakout series with the park boost in Cincinnati this weekend, and he’ll start by looking to exploit Reds’ RHP Anthony DeSclafani‘s .388 wOBA split to left-handed bats.
Other Shortstops to consider: Francisco Lindor (CLE), Paul DeJong (STL)
Outfield
Joc Pederson (LAD): $3,100 at CIN
As mentioned in the previous write-up, Cincinnati RHP Anthony DeSclafani carries a .388 wOBA split to left-handed hitters. Pederson is a boom-or-bust daily fantasy commodity, but this is an excellent time to flex some upside. I’ll be looking towards him through all formats for this mid-range asking price.
Jose Martinez (STL): $3,200 at TEX
St. Louis checks in with one of the highest run-scoring projections of the night. The Cardinals will see a nice park boost in Texas while facing RHP Jose Leclerc (serving as the opener) and the Rangers’ bullpen. That’s good news for Martinez and his teammates, as Texas relievers currently hold the third-highest xFIP at 5.00.
Other Outfielders to consider: Cody Bellinger (LAD), Alex Gordon (KC), Shohei Ohtani (LAA), Alex Verdugo (LAD), Byron Buxton (MIN), Brian Goodwin (LAA), Carlos Gonzalez (CLE)
