Blake Snell (TB): $11,800 vs. TOR
Although extremely expensive, the Rays ace is certainly worth considering in this matchup against the woeful Toronto Blue Jays. Toronto owns just a 76 wRC+ to go along with a 25.6% team strikeout rate. Meanwhile, Blake Snell has been electric in 2019. He has made a strong case for another nomination for the Cy Young in the American league and should have no issue shutting down the Jays. A remarkable 18.7% Sw Str rate has lead to a 36.5% K rate. Snell is throwing his fastball 10% less and instead, using his cutter to get batters out. This could easily be a double-digit strikeout game for the ace, where the win and quality start are almost a sure thing.
Aaron Nola (PHI): $8,900 vs. STL
At a discount, consider Aaron Nola. The ace has bounced back nicely after a rough start to the 2019 season. He struck out 12 batters against the Rockies two starts ago, ending up with 61 FanDuel points. The Cardinals are a tough matchup, no doubt. However, the few left-handed hitters in this lineup do not pose much threat and Nola is dominant against righties. His salary is too low for his upside and although he has shown the risk of poor performances, the upside is immense.

Hitters
Eduardo Escobar (ARI): $4,600 @ COL
For obvious reasons, the Arizona Diamondbacks appear to be the top stacking offense on the night. Playing in Coors field, hitters get the advantage of a great hitting environment. In addition, they will see a weak starting pitcher in Jeff Hoffman. In two starts this season, Hoffman has pitched 10 innings where he has allowed 13 hits against and nine earned runs. Arizona is the away team, so they are guaranteed the ninth inning at-bat, which only adds to the long list of reasons why they should be considered.
Freddie Freeman (ATL): $4,200 vs. WAS
The Braves first baseman grades out as one of the top hitters on the slate this evening against veteran, Anibal Sanchez. Washington’s starter has struggled his entire career against left-handed power hitters and Freeman is one of the best. To start the 2019 season, Sanchez has surrendered six home runs, five of which came from lefties. With a .404 wOBA against, all lefties should be considered.
J.T. Realmuto (PHI): $3,400 vs. STL
Philidelphia will be a popular stack this evening. That being said, J.T. Realmuto will come in at reduced ownership due to his position. Most will look to roster teammate Rys Hoskins and avoid rostering a catcher in the utility position. Realmuto has been one of the most productive hitters for the Philly’s this season, owning a .272 average with eight home runs and 32 RBI’s.
Ildemaro Vargas (ARI): $3,100 @ COL
For salary relief, Vargas is an interesting option in Colorado. He has recorded eight hits in his last three games, including a home run and four RBI’s. San Francisco is coming off an incredible series against the Giants where the offense exploded. They have traveled from one of the best pitchers parks to the best hitter parks. Last night did not work out, however, we can chalk that up to adjusting to the altitude. This offense will get going again and any piece is worth a shot.
