Wednesday night bring us a 10-game MLB DFS slate on DraftKings. There is plenty of star-power on the mound with four $10k aces to consider. All of them should perform well so the decision might just come down to which one you have enough salary left to roster after filling out your hitters. Speaking of hitters there are some deep value options at the plate which could free up enough money to even roster a pair of aces if you wish to go that route.
As always, be sure to pay close attention to the lineups when they are released and monitor the weather leading up to game time. For reference throughout the season, be sure to bookmark our overview of MLB Park Factors and how to Use Weather to Your Advantage in MLB DFS.

Pitchers
Jacob deGrom (NYM): $10,500 vs. WAS
As I mentioned in the intro, I’m okay with roster any of the high-priced aces on this slate. That said, Gerrit Cole‘s $12,000 salary might not be worth paying up for given the quality aces on this slate. DeGrom has the best mix of value, floor, and upside of the group as he pitches at home against the Max Scherzer and the Nationals. DeGrom has allowed a minuscule .215 wOBA with a 32.6% strikeout rate in 176 career plate appearances by Nationals hitters. He is coming off a surprising beating by the Marlins in his last start and should bounce back in a big way at home where he has produced better numbers over his career.

Max Fried (ATL): $8,500 @ SF
While I am okay with finding a way to get two of the high-priced aces in your lineup, if you want to dip down a price level for your second pitcher than give Fried a look. He’ll get a favorable park adjustment pitching in San Francisco against a Giants squad that ranks 29th in wOBA (.265) and tied for last in wRC+ (66) against lefties this season. Fried has continued to improve in now his third season with the Braves by posting a 2.86 ERA which is supported by a solid 3.27 xFIP. His strikeout rate may be down a little bit this season but so is his walk rate which has allowed him to pitch deeper into games and gobble up six wins so far. Fried and the Braves are a Vegas favorite on the road, so another win is certainly a strong possibility.
Other Notables
Hitters
Josh Reddick (OF – HOU): $4,400 vs. CWS
Reddick has occupied the leadoff spot in the Astros lineup the last two games with George Springer out. He will likely continue to hit atop the lineup if Springer misses another game on Wednesday against the White Sox and right-hander Ivan Nova. Nova has allowed five or more runs in four of his last six starts which does bode well for a visit to Houston. Left-handed hitters have posted a .435 wOBA off Nova this season, while Reddick is 5-for-16 with two doubles and two homers off Nova during his career.
Andrew Benintendi (OF – BOS): $4,400 @ TOR
Benintendi has seen his salary dip a little bit recently making him a more affordable option in the outfield while still batting leadoff for the Red Sox. While he hasn’t been contributing to any scoring in recent games, he does have at least one hit in five straight outings and has a 40% hard-hit rate over his last 10 outings. Benintendi will face Blue Jays right-hander Aaron Sanchez who uncharacteristically has reverse splits this season but historically has given up more damage to lefties including a .380 wOBA last season.
Justin Smoak (1B – TOR): $3,800 vs. BOS
Smoak has been fairly quiet at the plate over his last nine games with just a .125 average and three extra-base hits. However, during that stretch, he has also hit the ball hard at a 52.4% rate, so I wouldn’t be surprised if he breaks out of the mini-slump on Wednesday against righty Rick Porcello. Smoak has owned Porcello over his career with a .300 average and five homers in 40 at-bats. Smoak has a .346 wOBA and .180 ISO against righties this season, while Porcello has yielded a .372 wOBA to righties.
Corey Seager (SS – LAD): $3,700 @ TB
Seager collected a pair of hits with a run, RBI, and steal on Tuesday. He has started to hit better over his last 12 games with a .338 wOBA and .200 ISO during that stretch. Seager is still a value at SS while hitting in the middle third of the potent Dodgers lineup. Wednesday night he will face the right-handed duo of Ryne Stanek (opener) and Yonny Chirinos (long relief). Seager has hit all four of his homers off righties this season.
Starlin Castro (2B – MIA): $2,900 @ DET
The deep value on Wednesday’s slate is with the Marlins hitters playing in Detroit facing lefty Daniel Norris. While I have only listed Castro and Jorge Alfaro on the list, other deep value options to consider include Brian Anderson ($3,100), Garrett Cooper ($3,200), and Miguel Rojas ($3,000). Sounds like a Marlins stack in GPPs with a pair of high-priced aces is in order. Back to Norris, he has allowed a .344 wOBA and 1.36 HR/9 to righties this season, while Castro has posted a .384 wOBA against southpaws for the year.
