It’s the final night of the NBA regular season. Mama, we made it! Setting lineups for daily contests will be particularly tricky this evening because so many teams in action have already been eliminated. Other teams have clinched playoff berths and are locked into their respective positions within the conference. We’ll look at some value plays tonight who may get some increased run as well as a pair of vets playing in their final games. Instead of the usual batch of recommendations, here is a sample lineup that I’ve put together for tonight’s slate. I was able to squeeze two studs in by getting a lot of value at other roster spots. Let’s get to it!

Point Guard
Quinn Cook (PG – GSW): $3,800 @ MEM
Cook will likely draw the start tonight with Steph Curry (ankle) sitting out the Warriors’ season finale. Cook has been a serviceable backup this season and has played well in relief of Curry. Cook played 24 minutes on Tuesday after Curry exited early and put up 27.0 DK Points. After clinching the one-seed in the West, it wouldn’t be surprising to see Golden State rest some key players. Cook is only $3.8K tonight, so don’t be afraid to get him into your lineups as a value play with a lot of opportunity.

Shooting Guard
Dwyane Wade (PG/SG – MIA): $6,700 @ BKN
It’s Wade’s final NBA game, so of course, I’m paying up for him here. In five games in April, Wade has averaged 35.2 DK Points, including a huge night on Tuesday in his final home game in Miami. The Heat were eliminated from playoff contention following that game, so they head into tonight’s contest with plenty of incentive to let Wade play as much as he wants. He won’t drop 60 and leave on a “Mamba Out” moment, but he’s sure to score a lot and return value. If I still haven’t convinced you and you need another reason to plug D-Wade into your lineup, check out this awesome commercial commemorating his legacy (disclaimer – it’s a tearjerker):
Small Forward
Paul George (SF/PF – OKC): $10,300 @ MIL
PG13 should be locked and loaded for tonight’s matchup against a short-handed Bucks team. The Thunder will earn the six-seed if they win, but they could fall to as low as the eight-seed if they lose. George should be riding high off of his game-winning three against Houston on Tuesday, and he’s been stellar over the Thunder’s recent four-game win streak. In those games, he’s averaged 50.3 DK Points.
Power Forward
Dirk Nowitzki (PF/C – DAL): $4,000 @ SA
Nowitzki scored 48.0 DK Points in his final home game as a Maverick on Tuesday, jacking up 31 shots and producing 30 points and eight rebounds in the process. Dallas is in full tank mode hoping to protect its lottery pick, and the team is saying farewell to the greatest player in franchise history. Expect Dirk to get as much work as he can handle tonight, making him another value play.
Center
Boban Marjanovic (C – PHI): $4,100 vs. CHI
With the 76ers locked into the three-seed in the East, don’t expect the team to rush Joel Embiid (ankle) back to action for a meaningless game. Instead, Marjanovic should get the nod at the five. He’s been an excellent value on a per-minute basis, with a Per-36 of 20.8 points and 13.5 boards. He should see 20-25 minutes of court time against Chicago tonight, making him a good bet to hit value.
Guard
Delon Wright (PG – MEM): $7,300 vs. GSW
Wright has played in incredibly for the Griz this season, and he’ll look to end the season on a high note against the Warriors tonight. Mike Conley (ankle) surely won’t suit up for this one, so Wright is in line for a lot of minutes. Over his last five games, Wright has averaged a ridiculous 46.8 DK Points, including a pair of 60.0+ games. The Warriors have nothing to play for in this one, and it wouldn’t be surprising to see Wright finish with some huge numbers.
Forward
D.J. Wilson (PF/C – MIL): $4,100 vs. OKC
Wilson will likely start tonight with both Giannis Antetokounmpo and Brook Lopez our for rest purposes. Wilson will be the Bucks’ best frontcourt option in a game that could get ugly very quickly with the Bucks having wrapped up the best record in basketball and the Thunder still playing to maintain their position in the Western Conference. Wilson will get his share of points and minutes tonight, and the points all count the same – even in garbage time.
Utility
Kemba Walker (PG – CHA): $9,500 vs. ORL
It’s do-or-die time for the Hornets tonight, and Walker should be in full attack mode. He’s put the team on his back over the Hornets’ last five games which includes a four-game winning streak that has kept the team’s improbable playoff hopes alive. If Charlotte wins and Detroit loses tonight, the Hornets are in as the eight-seed. Walker is probably gone in free agency this summer, so it would be nice for him to go out on a high note. In his last five games, he’s averaged 50.2 DK Points thanks to 32.4 points, 6.4 assists, and 5.0 rebounds per contest. He’s the stud with the most upside tonight.
