It’s another Monday in the world of NBA DFS, and we have a smaller six-game slate to work with tonight. Finding variance and ways to differentiate your lineup could prove difficult so it’s even more important to lock in on the players that have the highest chance of success.
There are plenty of elite options at point guard and that appears to be the toughest position when deciding who to choose. Early returns have the Wizards versus the Kings game as the highest implied total on the slate at a very impressive 241 points and a two-point spread.
This article is intended to focus on the players I think have the best chance to push your lineup into the green. Players listed here will have the best chance of success based on match-up, recent play, and opportunity. There will be two players listed for each position, with the exception of center which will have one. As always good luck!

Point Guard
Russell Westbrook (OKC): $11,300 @ UTA
Don’t be scared of the tough match-up for Westbrook going up against a Jazz team that ranks 13th against point guards in a game with a sub-230 combined implied total. Westbrook will still find a way to get his production as he usually does evidenced by his team-leading usage rate. Also keep in mind the last time Westbrook saw this Jazz team he posted a monster 43-point, 15-rebound, and eight-assist game leading to 77 FanDuel points (FD). Even if we see a drop-off in that line tonight he’s still worth it.

Tomas Satoransky (WAS): $6,300 vs. SAC
While there are plenty of elite options at point guard I want to highlight one that could fly under the radar in Satoransky. He draws the coveted match-up tonight against a Kings team that ranks 26th against point guards in a game with a combined implied total of over 240. Satoransky comes in at a reasonable salary and won’t break the bank, but he could be a sneaky good pick as the starting point guard for a team projected to score over 120 points. While he’s not the sexiest pick he definitely carries the talent to make good on 5x value (has reached 5x value in two of the past three games) while providing some salary relief to fill out your lineup.
Shooting Guard
Bradley Beal (WAS): $10,800 vs. SAC
This shouldn’t come as a surprise; taking the best player with the highest usage rate on the team with the highest projected scoring total on the slate. While Brad Beal’s salary isn’t anything to sneeze at, he should be worth the cost specifically in this match-up. Sacramento ranks 21st against opposing shooting guards, which isn’t the worst but this selection has more to do with the overall game flow. Beal has flashed 60+ FD point upside and has become very comfortable taking over the offensive slack left in John Wall’s absence. In the eight games since the All-Star break, Beal has finished with at least 50+ FD points five times and finished with less than 45 FD points just once.
Buddy Hield (SAC): $7,400 @ WAS
Sticking with the theme of players from the projected highest-scoring game on the slate, I’m choosing Buddy Hield as he is the player with the highest usage rate on the Kings. Same idea as Bradley Beal, a player with the highest usage rate on his team in a game with the highest implied total I’m in on. On top of that fact, Hield has also been playing well finishing with 50+ FD points twice in the past five games. Washington ranks 11th against opposing shooting guards, which is respectable, but it’s hard to ignore the potential for Hield with so many points expected.
Small Forward
Jabari Parker (WAS): $5,800 vs. SAC
If it seems like I’m hammering the Kings/Wizards game, well I am. Jabari Parker comes in at a pretty fair salary needing 29 FD points to hit value tonight. He’s accomplished that feat in three of the past four games while seeing at least 25 minutes on the court in four straight. In players that have played over 10 games for the Wizards, Parker ranks fourth in usage, which is really high for a sixth man. Look for Parker to continue his solid recent play tonight in this high-scoring game.
Gordon Hayward (BOS): $4,700 @ LAC
I like Hayward tonight for a couple of reasons. One, he matches up with the Clippers who do rank 16th against the position, and the Celtics are projected to hit at least 110 points meaning there will be plenty of opportunity to go around. Two, his floor has also been solid of late finishing with at least 20 FD points in four straight games now. That includes a 50+ FD point outburst against Golden State last Tuesday. He’s a low-risk, high-reward type of player at this salary, and I like his ceiling tonight in a good match-up.
Power Forward
Marquese Chriss (CLE): $3,500 vs. TOR
In a cap-saving maneuver, Chriss appears on this list with news that Larry Nance Jr. will miss tonight’s game. This will open up some minutes for Chriss which is huge considering the last four times he saw at least 22 minutes he’s averaged 25 FD points per game. It’s not a dream match-up by any means with Toronto ranking eighth against the position, but opportunity should be there for Chriss.
Bobby Portis (WAS): $6,500 vs. SAC
I promise this is the last piece of the game I’ll put in this article. Portis has a great opportunity tonight to build on his recent play that’s netted him at least 36 FD points in three of the past four games. Sacramento struggles to defend at all levels, and Portis sports the third highest usage rate on the Wizards. This seems like a perfect recipe for Portis to make good on exceeding the 32.5 FD points needed for 5x value tonight.
Center
Ante Zizic (CLE): $3,600 vs. TOR
With news that Tristan Thompson is indeed out of the lineup tonight, Ante Zizic projects to be the starter. With Cleveland needing all the frontcourt help they can use tonight with Larry Nance also being out, I can easily see Zizic getting at least 25 minutes. He’s a very low-risk player at this salary, but he can certainly produce when given the opportunity as evidenced by his 23 FD point per game average the last four times he’s seen at least 25 minutes of action.
