Wednesday’s slate in the Association is unusually light, at only seven games. The Rockets/Kings (233.5) and Wizards/Bucks (230.0) offer the highest over/unders of the night and as usual, it’s a good idea to fit some players from those games into your starting lineups. Be mindful of some big lines, such as Warriors (-11.0) vs. Spurs, Bucks (-11.5) vs. Wizards and Jazz (-14.0) vs. Suns, as starters on the projected winning teams may get less run in the event of a blowout.
I’m going to quit mentioning guys like Giannis Antetokounmpo and James Harden in this article because they should be fit into your lineups whenever you can afford it. On that note, here are some of my favorite plays for tonight. While you can’t play all of these guys, any of them will make fine additions to your DFS rosters when setting DraftKings lineups tonight. As always, have fun and good luck!

Point Guard
Donovan Mitchell (PG/SG – UTA): $8,700 vs. PHO
D-Mitch has been impressive this season, averaging 22.4 points, 4.0 assists and 3.8 rebounds per game. Over his last seven games, his production has netted 45.3 DK PPG, and he faces a generous Suns defense tonight. Although Utah is -14.0 here, Mitchell can put up a huge line even if his minutes are scaled back – he’ll be even more productive if the Suns manage to keep this one close.

Chris Paul (PG – HOU): $7,100 @ SAC
In four games since returning to lineup after a hamstring injury, Paul has averaged 34.2 DK points per game. He’s in a prime spot tonight, taking on a Kings team currently allowing the sixth most DK Points to opposing PGs. Paul is a great play tonight in a fast-paced game with an over/under of 233.5.
Others to consider: De’Aaron Fox vs. HOU, Malik Beasley @ BKN
Shooting Guard
Jrue Holiday (PG/SG – NO): $9,000 @ CHI
Let the good times roll. That’s got to be what fantasy basketball enthusiasts have been thinking as they watch Holiday’s recent eight-game stretch of greatness. In his last eight games, Holiday has averaged 22.0 points, 7.9 rebounds, 7.0 assists, 1.1 steals and 1.1 blocks per game – that’s ridiculous production. He’s had to do more work on the glass with so many injuries plaguing the Pelicans’ frontcourt, and that should be the case tonight. Holiday just missed a triple-double in Monday’s loss to the Pacers, and he should stay hot tonight against a poor defense in a game that has the makings of a shootout. Keep rolling with Holiday in your DraftKings lineups.
Tim Hardaway Jr. (SG/SF – DAL): $4,900 vs. CHA
Hardaway Jr. will make his Mavericks debut tonight after being traded from the Knicks nearly a week ago. He should enter the starting lineup and provide a nice scoring punch alongside Luka Doncic. Hardaway Jr. is averaging 19.1 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game this season, good for 30.0 DK PPG. His price has dropped by $1,100 since his trade to Dallas, and he’s dangerously undervalued facing a Charlotte team playing its second road game in two nights and coming off of a last-second loss to the Clippers on Tuesday.
Others to consider: D’Angelo Russell vs. DEN, Bryn Forbes @GS
Small Forward
Rudy Gay (SF/PF – SA): $5,900 @ GS
Gay makes a solid play at the SF spot tonight with DeMar DeRozan and LaMarcus Aldridge both ruled out for rest and Derrick White out with a heel injury. Gay is averaging 29.0 DK PPG this season, but with so many players out tonight, expect him to handle a larger role on offense and exceed that average.
Josh Jackson (SF/PF – PHO): $5,500 @ UTA
Jackson is a cheap play with upside tonight, as he has been on a hot streak as of late. In his last five games, Jackson has upped his scoring average to 18.6 points per game – a significant increase from his season average of 10.7. In those five games, Jackson has averaged 32.0 DK PPG, fueled by his scoring and 11 combined blocks/steals in that span. Devin Booker (hamstring) is a GTD tonight, and Jackson would be an even better play if Booker sits.
Others to consider: Kelly Oubre @ UTA, Harrison Barnes vs. CHA
Power Forward
Bobby Portis (PF/C – CHI): $5,900 vs. NO
Portis will take on a short-handed Pelicans frontcourt tonight, and he should far exceed value for his modest $5.9K salary. He’s proven to be a capable scorer and over his last two games, Portis has averaged 29.5 points and 6.5 rebounds, good for 42.7 DK PPG. With Wendell Carter (thumb) expected to miss at least six more weeks, Portis should see 25+ minutes of action per night, giving him a high floor and a lot of upside, especially in tonight’s contest.
Maxi Kleber (PF/C – DAL): $4,300 vs. CHA
Kleber has now started two games in a row after DeAndre Jordan was traded to the Knicks last Thursday. He’s averaging 25.2 DK Points in those starts, and at only $4.3K, he’s a value selection facing a Hornets team that offers little resistance in the frontcourt.
Others to consider: Mason Plumlee @ BKN, Marvin Bagley III vs. HOU
Center
Nikola Jokic (C – DEN): $10,600 @ BKN
Jokic is having a season for the ages, averaging 20.1 points, 10.4 rebounds and 7.7 assists per game in 2018. His scoring and rebounding make him great, but his court vision and dishing abilities make him a truly dangerous matchup for opposing defenses. Tonight, he faces a Nets defense allowing the third most DK Points to centers at a ridiculous 61.94. He should be in lineups everywhere as one of the best plays of the night.
Kenneth Faried (PF/C – HOU): $7,000 @ SAC
Faried hit the rewind button when he signed with the Rockets, putting on some classic “Manimal” performances in Houston. Over his last five games, Faried has totaled four double-doubles and averaged 17.4 points, 10.6 rebounds and 36.1 DK PPG. In what could be the highest scoring game of the night, Faried is a play with major upside.
Others to consider: Rudy Gobert vs. PHO, Jahlil Okafor @ CHI
Dirt Cheap Bonus
Cheick Diallo (PF/C – NO): $3,700 @ CHI
Diallo has been a very limited part of the Pelicans’ rotation this year, but with Nikola Mirotic (calf) ruled out tonight and Julius Randle (ankle) questionable, Diallo could be in for an expanded role. Anthony Davis (finger) has been cleared to return, but he’ll likely sit out at least until after the Feb. 7 trade deadline. Over his last two games, Diallo has averaged 22.5 minutes per game and racked up at least 31.0 DK Points in both. His price tag allows roster flexibility, and his opportunities tonight give him a high ceiling.
