FanDuel NBA Lineup Advice: Wednesday (12/26)

Yesterday, after all the plates were cleared and a little too much dessert consumed, my family knuckled down for a game of Monopoly (Disney Edition). The winner (not me) was victorious owning just one set — the greens — and nothing else. Money was invested wisely and generated a great return. The analogy for today: buy one expensive item and build around it.

Despite ten games on Wednesday’s main slate, there are just three players whose salaries are over $10k. One of them is recommended in today’s list. My focus in today’s suggestions is to go with one of those top options and build a complimentary roster. As usual, to keep myself honest, the combined salary need to be less than FanDuel’s $60k budget.  This week I scrape in with $800 to spare; enough for a few Monopoly houses at least.

Point Guard

Reggie Jackson (DET): $5,500 vs. WAS
Jackson is enjoying a bit of a surge, averaging 25.9 FPTS over his last four games. The Pistons have a winnable matchup against the Wizards, but not one that they’ll run away with, which will keep Jackson involved throughout.

Tyus Jones (MIN): $4,400 @ CHI
Jones will see another start on Wednesday, with both Derrick Rose (ankle) and Jeff Teague (ankle) sidelined. Jones started on the 23rd and accumulated 22 FPTS against the Thunder, playing for 31 minutes. He’s a good bet to generate a higher total against the Bulls, whose defenses is considerably less robust.
