It’s Saturday and there are six games on tonight’s slate over on FanDuel. Overall, there are some great spots to target from a fantasy perspective along with a few games that could turn into blowouts, so projecting game flow will be important on tonight’s slate. Here are a few plays at each position that I will be targeting on tonight’s slate.

Point Guard
Kyrie Irving (BOS): $9,000 at MIN
Irving has been on a tear recently, averaging 44.6 fantasy points over the past five games. The Celtics are coming off a blowout victory against the Cavaliers on Friday night and Irving was only needed for 27 minutes in that game. So, despite the back to back, Irving should receive a full complement of minutes in a road matchup against the Timberwolves tonight. In terms of his individual matchup, Irving will square off against Jeff Teague, who has a -0.50 DRPM on the season. He should be able to dominate this matchup.

Cory Joseph (IND): $4,400 at SAC
With Victor Oladipo out for an extended period of time, the Pacers will continue to lean heavily on the ancillary pieces of their team. Joseph has been locked into a 25-30 minute per night role and he has put up six or more assists in four of the past five games. He is coming off a 27.2 fantasy point game against the Lakers and gets a phenomenal matchup against the Kings, who rank 27th in fantasy allowed to point guards this season. At a value price tag, Corey Joseph will be a strong play on tonight’s slate based on his minutes volume off the bench.
Shooting Guard
D’Angelo Russell (BKN): $7,800 at WAS
The Nets are playing in the second half of a back to back against a Wizards’ team that has been struggling mightily. The Wizards, as a whole, are ranked 29th in defensive efficiency this season and they have given up the most fantasy points to point guards on the season. Russell has been on fire over the past three games, averaging 46.8 fantasy points per game and has dominated the ball with a true usage percentage of 30.1%. Russell should be able to dominate again in this matchup.
Klay Thompson (GSW): $7,200 at DET
Thompson has continued to step up in Steph Curry’s absence, averaging 37.9 fantasy points over the past five games. Despite this stretch, his price tag has not really caught up to his level of play. The Pistons are a strong defensive team, ranking seventh in defensive efficiency rating on the season, but this game has a 227.5 total and the Warriors are projected to put up 116 points. At Thompson’s price tag, he should be able to exceed value in this matchup.
Small Forward
Jabari Parker (CHI): $7,500 at HOU
After a rocky start to the season, Parker has been playing some excellent basketball over the past few weeks. Prior to a tough road loss against the Pistons last night, Parker had exceeded 38 fantasy points in five straight games. Despite being 13-point underdogs on the road tonight, Parker should have plenty of opportunities to score in a pace up game against the Rockets. The Rockets rank 28th in defensive efficiency this season so the matchup is certainly exploitable. For anyone not willing to pay up for Kawhi Leonard tonight in a potential blowout, Parker offers relatively similar upside at a much cheaper price tag.
Kelly Oubre (WAS): $5,100 vs. BKN
Oubre disappointed last night as chalk play, putting up 13.2 fantasy points in a loss to the Sixers. Despite this, I am looking to go back to him in tonight’s matchup against the Nets. Even with Porter back in the lineup, Oubre should continue to start at small forward against a Nets team that ranks 22nd in defensive efficiency this season. He has certainly been volatile, but Oubre has flashed upside recently by eclipsing 32 fantasy points in two of the past four games. He should be able to bounce back tonight and pay off his modest price tag.
Power Forward
Blake Griffin (DET): $9,200 vs. GSW
The Pistons have started the season strong and tonight’s matchup against the Warriors should be a competitive one. For this reason, I want to have exposure to both sides of the ball in this game. Griffin makes a strong play, especially in Draymond Green‘s continued absence. Griffin has put up high scoring totals recently, but he has actually struggled in the blocks and steals department. His lack of peripheral stats over the past five games has hurt his fantasy totals, but tonight’s game environment should favor his style of play. A 50-point fantasy game should be coming.
Domantas Sabonis (IND): $7,700 vs. ATL
Sabonis’ price tag has continued to increase, but he has been dominant in Victor Oladipo‘s absence. Over the past four games, Sabonis has averaged 42.4 fantasy points and has crushed on a per minute basis. On the season, the Hawks rank 27th in fantasy points allowed to power forwards and rank 23rd in defensive efficiency as a whole. Despite his incredibly high price tag, Sabonis should be able to dominate the Kings frontcourt in tonight’s game.
Center
Jarrett Allen (BKN): $6,000 at WAS
Allen is coming off a 39.9 fantasy point total against a tough Grizzlies front court last night and gets a terrific matchup against the Wizards tonight. As mentioned previously, the Wizards are not very good on defense and they are also without Dwight Howard for an extended period of time. The Wizards rank 24th in fantasy points allowed to centers this season and 29th in defensive efficiency rating as a whole. He should be able to dominate the frontcourt tonight.
