Welcome to the Tuesday edition of the NBA FanDuel lineup article. We have eight games to work tonight on this first Tuesday night in March. Let’s go ahead and take a look at my lineup for tonight’s slate.

Point Guard
Dennis Smith Jr. (DAL): $6,700 vs. DEN
Dennis Smith Jr. has been solid in his rookie season and the Mavericks continue to give their young players the bulk of the minutes. Tonight Smith has an outstanding up-tempo matchup against the Nuggets who allow the second-most Fanduel points to opposing point guards.
Trey Burke (NYK): $5,500 at POR
Trey Burke has not exploded since the first couple of games after the All-Star break, but he still continued to own a solid floor coming off of the bench for the Knicks. Tonight’s matchup does not appear to be great on paper, but Burke should still be a solid option since he has consistently been seeing 30 minutes or more since the All-Star break.

Shooting Guard
James Harden (HOU): $11,400 at OKC
If I’m choosing between spending up for Russell Westbrook or James Harden tonight, I’m definitely favoring the latter. The shooting guard position is pretty ugly as a whole tonight when you take into consideration that a lot of the solid mid-range options are really priced up tonight. Harden continues to produce at a high level this season and tonight should not be any exception in what should be a really fun and high scoring game between the Thunder and the Rockets.
JJ Redick (PHI): 4,900 at CHA
I have to admit that there really is not a ton for me to love about J.J. Redick tonight. I already mentioned the state of the shooting guard position tonight and this was the last position for me to fill when I built my lineup. I will say this though, Redick typically provides us with a pretty safe floor for cash games since he typically plays right around 30 minutes and he does take a ton of shots.
Small Forward
Taurean Prince (ATL): $5,600 at TOR
Taurean Prince has taken a pretty nice step forward in his second year of the NBA which has resulted in him averaging 30.0 minutes per game this season. The Raptors were pretty stout against the small forward position earlier this season, but now they have fallen to the middle of the pack. Prince should be in a decent spot to build on his 32.3 FanDuel points per game average over his previous five games.
Justise Winslow (MIA): $4,300 at WAS
Justise Winslow missed almost all of the first half of the season with an injury, but it appears his endurance and trust with Erik Spoelstra has progressed nicely over the past couple of weeks. Winslow has always been a decent defender, but it looks like he is beginning to shoulder the offense a little more with double-digit points in each of his past three games. The matchup is not great against the Wizards, but if he continues to see around 30 minutes then he should be able to return value on his cheap price tag.
Power Forward
Ben Simmons (PHI): $8,800 at CHA
After sitting out an entire year with an injury, Ben Simmons has proved why he was deserving as the number one overall pick by the 76ers in the 2016 draft class. Simmons has been great in his rookie season and he trails only Joel Embiid in usage percentage on the 76ers. Tonight he has a decent matchup against the Hornets who are near the bottom third of the league against opposing point guards this season.
Paul Millsap (DEN): $6,100 at DAL
Paul Millsap’s salary continues to climb as he is further removed from the injury that cost him almost all of the first half of the season. Last season Millsap’s salary was hovering around $8,000 when he played for the Atlanta Hawks, and I think when it’s all said and done his salary will be close to that level at the end of this season. He has averaged 31.2 FanDuel points in the three games that he has played since returning to injury and I believe that number will only continue to rise as he begins to play more minutes.
Center
Jusuf Nurkic (POR): $6,500 vs. NYK
Jusuf Nurkic’s minutes and production have been up and down this season, but it seems like everything stabilizes when the opposing team has a big and physical center. The Knick’s Enes Kanter definitely fits that definition so I think Nurkic will be penciled in for about 30 minutes and should be able to pay off his salary nicely tonight.
