Welcome to the Tuesday edition of the NBA FanDuel lineup article. We have a nice, eight-game slate to work with on the final Tuesday night of March. Let’s go ahead and take a look at my lineup for tonight’s slate.

Point Guard
Quinn Cook (GSW): $6,000 vs. IND
With the Warriors plagued with injuries, other players have had to step up during their absences. One of those players has been Quinn Cook who has been the starting point guard while Steph Curry has missed time with a knee injury. Over his past five games, Cook has averaged 36 minutes on the court and 37.4 FanDuel points. The individual matchup against the Pacers is not great, but the minutes and usage should more than negate the matchup.
Cameron Payne (CHI): $5,500 at HOU
Kris Dunn has missed each of the past five games and Cameron Payne has done well while filling in for Dunn. Over his last five games, Payne has averaged nearly 30 minutes per game and has averaged 27.0 FanDuel points. The Bulls are huge underdogs in Houston tonight. However, Payne should still be locked in for at minimum 25 minutes since the Bulls are a little thin in their backcourt right now.

Shooting Guard
CJ McCollum (POR): $7,300 at NOP
If you throw out one game on March 20th against the Rockets, C.J. McCollum has been solid lately including 46.8 FanDuel points and 45.4 FanDuel points in his last two games. Tonight he has an outstanding matchup against the Pelicans who have really struggled against opposing shooting guards lately. Another thing to keep an eye on for tonight is the status of Damian Lillard. Lillard and his wife are expecting the arrival of a child any day now, so it is very well possible he could be an extremely late scratch on one of these nights. If it happens tonight, McCollum would be an immediate lock at this price and in this matchup.
Dwyane Wade (MIA): 4,800 vs. CLE
Whenever the Cavs and Heat meet up, it makes for an interesting game given the circumstances. This will be the first matchup between these two teams since Wade was traded back to the Heat prior to the trade deadline. Wade does not have much left in the tank, but he usually gets up for big games like this one. Therefore, I feel pretty confident about him seeing between 25 and 30 minutes on the court and taking a few more shots than usual.
Small Forward
LeBron James (CLE): $12,300 at MIA
On the other side of this matchup is LeBron James who we all know previously played for the Heat a few seasons ago. It seems like whenever LeBron visits his previous team he puts up huge numbers. Right now the Cavs have the fourth-highest projected team total on the board, so fire him up with confidence tonight.
Gerald Green (HOU): $3,700 vs. CHI
Gerald Green has done well in each of his past two games playing 32 minutes in each game and putting up 38.4 and 23.6 FanDuel points against the Hawks and the Pelicans. I’m not sure if this trend will continue much longer, but I am definitely willing to take a chance and see given his cheap salary and his matchup against the Bulls. If anything, he should see a few extra minutes if this game ends up getting out of hand like Vegas is projecting.
Power Forward
Kelly Olynyk (MIA): $7,000 vs. CLE
Hassan Whiteside has been out for a couple of weeks and Kelly Olynyk has completely taken advantage of the opportunity to the point of his salary reaching the $7,000 mark. Even at this price point I still think we can deploy him in our lineups since he is capable of putting up 50+ FanDuel points. Tonight he has a decent matchup against the Cavs who have struggled against opposing big men over the past four weeks.
James Johnson (MIA): $5,800 vs. CLE
James Johnson has really had a rollercoaster season after having a very productive 2016-2017 season one year ago. With that being said, he has somewhat stabilized over the past couple of weeks with the absence of the Whiteside from the Heat. Similar to Olynyk, he has a great matchup against the Cavs and you should not worry about using two power forwards from the Heat tonight.
Center
Jusuf Nurkic (POR): $6,900 at NOP
Jusuf Nurkic is sometimes a hard player to peg, but just like some others, I have noticed a trend in his game logs: Nurkic usually sees an additional bump in minutes whenever he is going up against the league’s best centers. The only question mark with him tonight is, will he stay out of foul trouble against Anthony Davis? I’m willing to take my chances that he does stay out of foul trouble and if he does, he is definitely capable of putting up 40+ FanDuel points in an up-tempo game for the Trail Blazers.
