Welcome to the Tuesday edition of the NBA FanDuel lineup article. We have a nice, seven-game slate to work tonight. Let’s go ahead and take a look at my lineup for tonight’s slate.

Point Guard
Jeff Teague (MIN): $7,000 vs. LAC
Jeff Teague has shouldered the Timberwolves offense since Jimmy Butler went down with a knee injury. On paper, this looks like a tough matchup against the Clippers since they have allowed the second-fewest FanDuel points against opposing point guards this season. However, over the past four weeks, they have actually allowed the seventh-most FanDuel points per game to opposing point guards. The Timberwolves currently have the highest projected team total on the board for tonight, so you will want to get a piece from their team into your lineup.
Ish Smith (DET): $5,000 at PHO
Ish Smith and the Pistons will receive a huge bump in pace as they visit the Suns tonight in Phoenix. It does not sound like Reggie Jackson will make a return tonight, which means Ish Smith should be cemented in for around 30 minutes against the team who has allowed the third-most FanDuel points against opposing point guards over the past four weeks.

Shooting Guard
James Harden (HOU): $11,600 at POR
As with most night’s that James Harden is playing, we have to decide between using Harden and Russell Westbrook. It is a close call between both of these guys, but I give the edge to Harden since there are far fewer viable shooting guard options on tonight’s slate. Harden should be in a great spot to continue putting up huge numbers against the Trail Blazers tonight. Portland has been excellent against opposing point guards this season, but they are only middle of the pack against opposing shooting guards.
Shaquille Harrison (PHO): 3,600 vs. DET
As I mentioned under Harden, the state of the shooting guard is not that great tonight, so I’m purposely punting the second shooting guard spot with Shaquille Harrison tonight. Harrison’s numbers are not flashy by any means, but he has averaged 18.7 FanDuel points over his past six games. If he reaches that number tonight, he will be right at the 5x number we are seeking for someone at this price point.
Small Forward
Josh Jackson (PHO): $6,500 vs. DET
The Suns have really been devoted to giving their younger players more minutes in hopes of accelerating their development. Josh Jackson has been the primary beneficiary of this youth movement and has been excellent for most of the past two months in his rookie campaign.
Harrison Barnes (DAL): $6,500 at NO
There is no question that the Mavericks are in complete tank mode, but Harrison Barnes has still been pretty productive for most of this season. Tonight he will see a really nice boost in pace and matchup. The Pelicans play at one of the quickest paces in the NBA and they have really struggled against opposing small forwards over the past four weeks.
Power Forward
Blake Griffin (DET): $8,100 at PHO
Blake Griffin was exceptional immediately after being traded from the Clippers to the Pistons. However, he has been a little inconsistent over the past couple of weeks. One thing has been consistent though and that is him crushing in outstanding matchups. Tonight he will face the Suns who have allowed the most FanDuel points against opposing power forwards over the past four weeks.
Jae Crowder (UTA): $5,400 vs. ATL
Jae Crowder did essentially nothing in his brief stint with the Cavs, but he has carved out a larger role since being traded over to the Jazz. Derrick Favors will miss tonight’s game with a sore left knee, which should open up some minutes and usage for Crowder in a great matchup against the Hawks, who have really struggled against opposing power forwards over the past four weeks.
Center
Greg Monroe (BOS): $5,000 vs. OKC
Similar to Crowder, Greg Monroe has really seen an increase in role since joining the Celtics. Monroe has seen at least 21 minutes in each of his past three games and it seems like that could be the trend moving forward this season. The matchup on paper is not great against the Thunder, but this is mostly due to the defense of Steven Adams. Since Monroe comes off of the bench he should not see a ton of Adams and should have a much better matchup against the Thunder’s second unit.
