Tuesday night brings us an eight-game slate of NBA action to dissect. On the slate, we have three games with a Vegas total over 220 but with the Warriors as huge favorites in one of them, most of my focus will be on the other two matchups featuring the Rockets/Thunder and Pelicans/Clippers.

James Harden (PG/SG – HOU): $11,500 @ OKC
There are studs-a-plenty on the Tuesday’s slate including Anthony Davis and Russell Westbrook but I have my sights set on James Harden. The Rockets will be involved in a competitive contest against the Thunder in Oklahoma City as small favorites in a game with a Vegas total of 223. Harden has scored at least 25 points in 11 straight games and went for 29 (68.5 DK points) in the first meeting between the two teams and the Thunder have allowed the fifth most DraftKings points to opposing SGs over the last 30 days.

Core Plays
Paul George (SF/PF – OKC): $8,500 vs HOU
While Westbrook is always a fine option regardless of opponent his matchup against Chris Paul could limit his upside, so give me the second option on the Thunder with George. Other than a dud against the Warriors a few games back, George has been as steady as they come with at least 36 DK points in nine of his last 10 games. He faces a Rockets’ defense that has allowed the third most DK points to opposing SFs this season and produced a solid 37.8 DK points in their first meeting this year.
Kemba Walker (PG – CHA): $7,600 vs PHI
This spot came down to Kemba and Lou Williams. If you want to get some more exposure to the highest Vegas total on the slate then Williams is your guy. However, I’m leaning Walker right now as Williams’ shot has been off the last few games shooting just 36.7% from the field including going just 2-for-15 from three-point range. Walker, on the other hand, is shooting over 50% during his last seven games while averaging over 40 DK points a game during that stretch. He put up 31 points (43.3 DK points) in an earlier meeting with the Sixers. Maybe Walker for Cash and Sweet Lou in a GPP game stack.
Hassan Whiteside (C – MIA): $6,900 @ WAS
Whiteside put up a big game with 24 points and 14 rebounds against the Suns on Monday despite playing just 25 minutes. With the limited workload, Whiteside should be ready for another 25+ minutes on Tuesday against the Wizards in a key playoff positioning game. Whiteside has had great success against the Wizards this season averaging 18.0 points and 18.5 rebounds in 32 minutes per game. The minutes are usually the only concern with Whiteside but his history this year against the Wizards makes me comfortable to roster him.
Rajon Rondo (PG – NO): $6,200 @ LAC
Rondo may actually be playable in Cash games right now. While he is always a GPP option with his big upside, he has played at least 32 minutes in each of his last four games while averaging 12.3 points, 7.5 rebounds and 11.5 assists for 39.4 DK points per game. He can’t get a better game environment in what should be a track meet against the Clippers with a huge 237-point Vegas total. Cash, GPPs, West Coast Special, whatever the contest type, Rondo should be given strong consideration.
Value Plays
Eric Gordon (PG/SG – HOU): $4,900 @ OKC
Gordon seems to have found his groove in his last two games since returning from injury. While playing 27+ minutes he has averaged 25.5 points per game while making five and seven three-pointers respectively. He benefits from Ryan Anderson and Joe Johnson‘s absence and should get plenty of opportunities on the wing against the Thunder who have allowed the third most three-pointers made to opposing SGs this season.
Trevor Ariza (SF/PF – HOU): $4,700 @ OKC
Staying with the Rockets, Ariza presents nice value for a player sees around 35 minutes per night. He has the ability to fill up a box score with points, rebounds, steals and three-pointers. Ariza has met or exceeded five times his current salary in four of his last five games.
Justise Winslow (SF/PF – MIA): $4,200 @ WAS
Winslow is currently playing the best basketball of his NBA career. He has topped 27 DK points in four of his last five games while also playing over 27 minutes in four of his last five outings. The Heat are getting a little bit healthier but playing in the second game of a back-to-back could limit some of the players just coming back from injury (Tyler Johnson) or the older players (Dwyane Wade) which should secure Winslow’s minutes. He has averaged 22 DK points in two previous meetings against the Wizards despite playing just 19 minutes per game. Add about 10 minutes and about 10 DK points to his projection for Tuesday.
Pascal Siakam (PF – TOR): $4,000 vs ATL
The Raptors bench gets a lot of credit and minutes most nights. They get even more when they are blowing teams out as should be the case on Tuesday as a double-digit favorite over the Hawks. So, look for players like Pascal, Jakob Poeltl ($3,900) and CJ Miles ($3,900) to get a little extra run on Tuesday and exceed value on their low salaries against a Hawks’ team that has given up top four production to opposing SFs, PFs and Centers this season.
