Welcome to FanDuel NBA Saturday! The Saturday main slate is a bit larger than usual tonight with eight games set to tip-off. There are also a whole bunch of questionable tags to sort through, so make sure to keep an eye on some key player statuses leading up to tip as I’m sure this lineup I’ve set will change a bit. However, this should give a good idea of how I’m building my team for GPP play. Let’s take a look.

Point Guards
Rajon Rondo (NOR): $4,600 @ MIN
Rondo had basically done nothing since early January but went off last night for 43.9 points in Oklahoma City. Banking on a repeat performance is a bit risky, but he dropped in price by $300 and has a strong matchup with Minnesota who has a Defense vs. Position (DvP) of 46.9 points per game. Rondo also seems excited to have former Bulls teammate Nikola Mirotic to pass to as Mirotic is expected to make his Pelicans debut tonight.
Jamal Murray (DEN): $6,800 v. GSW
How about that Thunder-Nuggets game Thursday night? Murray had 33 points in that one and has proven to be a much more efficient fantasy player at home than on the road as he has a nearly a five-point difference per game. Murray’s price has remained the same despite the big game against OKC, so he’s someone to consider firing up for less than $7,000.

Shooting Guards
Victor Oladipo (IND): $9,000 @ PHI
Oladipo is coming off a monster 52-point game last night in Charlotte and will be looking to carry that momentum into Philly against the Sixers. Oladipo has performed best on no rest this season as he’s averaging nearly 47 points per game in that scenario. The $9,000 price tag for Oladipo is his lowest since early December of last year.
Gary Harris (DEN): $6,700 v. DEN
Gary Harris dropped 25 points in that aforementioned Thunder-Nuggets game including the buzzer-beating dagger three-pointer to end it. His Nuggets teammate, Will Barton, is much too overpriced in this one as is Nikola Jokic for more than $10,000. Expect Murray and Harris to provide the best value among Nuggets players in what should be a high-scoring affair with the Warriors.
Small Forwards
LeBron James (CLE): $11,500 @ HOU
You’re playing Harden or LeBron tonight, and I’ll lean toward LeBron as Harden hasn’t really had a productive fantasy game with Chris Paul in the lineup since returning from injury. That historic 60-point triple-double of course came with CP3 on the sidelines. LeBron is due for a big one following two straight down performances.
Gerald Green (HOU): $4,600 v. CLE
Even if you’ve played only a single day of FanDuel this season, you know you should be taking guys against the Cavs “defense.” Eric Gordon has been ruled out which makes Gerald Green an attractive play as he’s likely to see 30+ minutes. Green can score in bunches, and he should get ample opportunity to do so against whatever it is the Cavs do when they don’t have the ball.
Power Forwards
Dwight Powell (DAL): $3,600 @ SAC
Powell made his first start of the season for the Mavs last game but could only muster 18.4 points in a great matchup against Phoenix. The good news is that he’s getting another great matchup with the Kings tonight, so give Powell a look if he’s the confirmed or likely starter once again.
LaMarcus Aldridge (SAS): $8,600 v. UTA
The once stout Jazz defense has been highly overrated defensively all season, although you wouldn’t have been able to tell in their blowout win last night in Phoenix. Expect some fatigue on the back-to-back and a big game from LaMarcus Aldridge as the Jazz have been extremely susceptible to big games from frontcourt players. Aldridge’s last four games priced below $8,800 have resulted in at least 46 points.
Center
Marreese Speights (ORL): $4,000 v. WAS
After being basically a non-factor all season, Speights has caught fire with Aaron Gordon out with 31 and 27.3 points in two straight starts. Gordon is out once again. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it. The $4,000 price tag isn’t too high yet, so feel free to ride Mr. Speights until it is.
That’s it for Saturday. Best of luck!
