You might want to make plans to stay up late on Tuesday night because that is where all the action will be on the eight-game NBA slate. A majority of my recommended plays for Tuesday come from the Suns/Lakers and Thunder/Warriors matchups which both start at 10:30 pm (EST). It could also be a fun night to play the two-game late night “West Coast” slate on DraftKings. Hint: If you are in the lead after the early set of games, it won’t last.
Note that some of the stats referenced in this article are my custom DvP calculations that combine both season and last five games data along with blending similar positions production allowed together.

Russell Westbrook (PG – OKC): $11,500 @ GS
Russell Westbrook gets another matchup against his old teammate Kevin Durant on Tuesday night. Westbrook has reached at least 67 DraftKings points in three out of their five meetings the last two seasons including putting up 34 points, 10 rebounds and nine assists earlier this year. The matchup with the Warriors has the highest Vegas total on the slate. Look for Westbrook to keep playing mad against Durant and the Warriors.

Core Plays
Enes Kanter (PF/C – NYK): $7,300 vs MIL
The Bucks continue to struggle against opposing centers allowing the seventh most DK points per game to the position. Enes Kanter and the Knicks faced the Bucks just four days ago and he put together a big game with 17 points and 18 rebounds. He has posted at least 12 rebounds in four straight games with a double-double in each. Another similar game while playing at home where he has been more productive this year should ensue.
TJ Warren (SF/PF – PHO): $6,700 @ LAL
You can give strong consideration to either TJ Warren or Brandon Ingram ($6,900) in this spot. While both are viable options, I’ll give a slight edge to Warren who saves you a couple of bucks and gets a usage increase (+2.6%) with Devin Booker out. He will face a Lakers’ defense that has allowed the fifth most DK points to opposing SFs this season.
Klay Thompson (SG – GS): $6,300 vs OKC
While Klay Thompson is the only Warriors player to make my list, the usual cast of characters are all viable options. I like Thompson and Kevin Durant the most at their price point. Thompson appears to be heating up as he has connected on 61.4% of his shots in the last three games including 45% from beyond the arc. Thompson should also be able to take advantage of the absence of the Thunder’s best wing defender, Andre Roberson. Suns SG/SF Josh Jackson ($5,900) is also a solid option in this price range and position.
Isaiah Thomas (PG – CLE): $6,200 @ ORL
This is the spot where Isaiah Thomas could breakout. He gets a slight usage increase (+1.8%) with Kevin Love out and gets a dream matchup against the Magic who have allowed the most DK points per game to opposing PGs this season. Thomas has averaged 20.0 points in two previous meetings this season and now with the added shot attempts and minutes, I expect him to post his best game in a Cavaliers uniform.
Value Plays
Brook Lopez (C – LAL): $5,100 vs PHO
When I started researching Tuesday’s slate, I never thought that Brook Lopez would make my list but here we are. Lopez has played well in his last two games playing at least 28 minutes in each contest while averaging 19.5 points and 32.75 DK points per game. He has also had great success against the Suns so far this season, recording a double-double in all three games while averaging 17.7 points and 10.3 rebounds per game. Looks like Lopez is your value center of the night.
Josh Hart (PG/SG – LAL): $4,700 vs PHO
Sticking with the Lakers, Josh Hart has seen an expanded role with Lonzo Ball out. He has reached 35+ minutes in each of his last two games while posting back-to-back double-doubles with 14.5 points and 12.5 rebounds per game. Hart will square off against a Suns’ team that has allowed the most DK points to opposing SGs and fourth most to opposing PGs this season.
Mario Hezonja (PG/SG – ORL): $4,500 vs CLE
Mario Hezonja and his teammate Marreese Speights will both continue to see increased minutes with the absence of Aaron Gordon. Hezonja has reached double-digit points in four straight games while averaging 16.5 points per game during that stretch. He has averaged 13.0 points per game in three meeting with the Cavaliers this season for 24.2 DK points per game. A few extra minutes and shot opportunities on Tuesday should allow him to exceed those averages and be a strong value play.
Tyler Ulis (PG – PHO): $4,200 @ LAL
With Devin Booker out, Tyler Ulis should see a significant increase in his minutes on Tuesday night against the Lakers. He is capable of putting up some points and could have the matchup to make it happen against a Lakers’ defense that has given up the second most DK points to opposing PGs this season. Ulis might not be worthwhile in Cash games due to his volatility but is worth a GPP flier.
