DraftKings NBA Lineup Advice: Monday (2/5)

We have a seven-game slate to kick off our NBA DFS week. There aren’t too many injuries of note, so the value options might be a bit limited tonight. With that said, roster construction is straightforward since we shouldn’t have to deal with last-minute injury news.

Guards

Kemba Walker (CHA): $8,800 vs. DEN
Walker is on a heater right now, so we want to ride the hot hand into the money. He has scored 30 or more real points in three of his last four games and is now up against the Nuggets, who are giving up 48 DraftKings points per game to point guards, which is fourth worst in the league. Walker has a 29% usage rate, along with averaging 1.09 fantasy points per minute this season. He has taken 20 or more field goal attempts in seven of his last 10 games, so he’s a massive part of their offense. If he is able to fill in the rest of the stat sheet, we could be looking at a 50-point fantasy game, as he has done three times in his last four.

Bradley Beal (WAS): $8,900 @ IND
Beal has a 33% usage rate and is averaging 1.11 fantasy points since John Wall went out with an injury. We want to take advantage of this usage increase before Beal’s price gets any higher. He has scored 44 or more DraftKings points in four of his last five games, including one monster 72-point game. He has taken 14 or more field goal attempts in eight of his last 10 games and is now the go-to guy on offense for the Wizards. He is viable in all formats, since he has a very consistent floor without Wall on the court, and the upside is massive since he can score 30 or more real points almost any given night.
