We have a seven-game slate to kick off our NBA DFS week. There aren’t too many injuries of note, so the value options might be a bit limited tonight. With that said, roster construction is straightforward since we shouldn’t have to deal with last-minute injury news.

Guards
Kemba Walker (CHA): $8,800 vs. DEN
Walker is on a heater right now, so we want to ride the hot hand into the money. He has scored 30 or more real points in three of his last four games and is now up against the Nuggets, who are giving up 48 DraftKings points per game to point guards, which is fourth worst in the league. Walker has a 29% usage rate, along with averaging 1.09 fantasy points per minute this season. He has taken 20 or more field goal attempts in seven of his last 10 games, so he’s a massive part of their offense. If he is able to fill in the rest of the stat sheet, we could be looking at a 50-point fantasy game, as he has done three times in his last four.
Bradley Beal (WAS): $8,900 @ IND
Beal has a 33% usage rate and is averaging 1.11 fantasy points since John Wall went out with an injury. We want to take advantage of this usage increase before Beal’s price gets any higher. He has scored 44 or more DraftKings points in four of his last five games, including one monster 72-point game. He has taken 14 or more field goal attempts in eight of his last 10 games and is now the go-to guy on offense for the Wizards. He is viable in all formats, since he has a very consistent floor without Wall on the court, and the upside is massive since he can score 30 or more real points almost any given night.

Forwards
Danilo Gallinari (LAC): $6,100 vs. DAL
With the Clippers making a bit of a splash via trade last week, Gallinari is now in line to see more action. He has battled a number of injuries this season, but he is back and has put up 23 and 41 DK points in his two most recent games. Gallinari has a 26% usage rate and is averaging 1.28 fantasy points per minute this season with the current roster for the Clippers. He is up against the Mavericks who are giving up 39 DraftKings points per game to small forwards. This game has an over-under of 212 points, so there’s plenty of offense to be had, and he should provide plenty of fantasy value.
Bobby Portis (CHI): $6,200 @ SAC
Portis has seen 22 or more minutes in four of his last five games and should continue to see more now that Nikola Mirotic has been traded. He has scored 27 or more points in four of his last five games. The classic ‘minutes equal money’ term is really shining through for Portis, so we want to roster him while he is producing for the Bulls. He is up against the Kings, who are giving up 48 DraftKings points per game to power forwards, which is second worst in the league. It’s a great spot to attack for him, and he should see the starting lineup since Lauri Markkanen is listed as out for tonight’s game.
Centers
DeAndre Jordan (LAC): $7,600 vs. DAL
Despite the Clippers trading Blake Griffin, we haven’t seen Jordan’s price rise too much. He has massive upside because of his rebounding potential, making him a great option in tournaments. Jordan has put up 28 or more DraftKings points in four of his last five games and is now up against the Mavericks, who are giving up 52 DK points per game to the position, which is seventh worst in the league. It should also be noted that Dallas is very weak at rebounding the ball, which should play right into the strong suit for Jordan.
Bam Adebayo (MIA): $4,600 vs. ORL
With Hassan Whiteside being listed as questionable for this game, Adebayo is set to get the start and will likely be one of the highest-owned players on the slate. When Whiteside is off the court, Adebayo is averaging 0.93 fantasy points per minute, making him a great value play tonight. He is up against the Magic, who are giving up 51 DraftKings points per game to centers, which is eighth worst in the league.
