Welcome to NBA FanDuel Saturday!
We’ve got six games to choose from on the main slate tonight, and only Kevin Durant priced above $10,000. As always, this will be a GPP-based strategy with a focus on selecting the premium high-priced players and filling in with some lower-priced players with increased opportunity.
The FanDuel gods also blessed us today by not giving us too many questionable tags on players as of right now, but the statuses of Jimmy Butler, Rondae-Hollis Jefferson, D’Angelo Russell, and Myles Turner will certainly impact lineups.
Let’s take a look.

Point Guards
Terry Rozier (BOS): $3,800 @ GSW
Rozier is a chalk play for less than $4,000 with Marcus Smart out, and a strong matchup with the Warriors in a game with a 222 over/under. Rozier had 30.6 in the Celtics’ previous game without Smart.

John Wall (WAS): $9,600 @ ATL
Wall has had two clunkers against the Hawks this year, and I don’t like his chances of making it three straight. Consider Wall a strong PG option against a Hawks team that is one of the weaker on the slate defending the position.
Shooting Guards
Caris LeVert (BKN): $4,800 @ MIN
D’Angelo Russell (back-to-back) and Rondae Hollis-Jefferson (groin) are both questionable tonight for the Nets which would thrust Levert into an even more prominent role with a bargain price tag at $4,800. Even if both Russell and RHJ suit up, Levert is still a decent option so he’s worth firing up as a high-upside play. In his last game below $5,000, Levert had his best game of the season with 54 points vs. OKC.
Kent Bazemore (ATL): $5,300 v. WAS
Bazemore is another guy that is a bargain price based on his typical production. Bazemore is coming off a big 39-point performance last night and may be a popular play tonight with a good matchup against the Wizards despite the back-to-back. It’s well worth taking a chance on a similar performance for $5,300.
Small Forwards
Kevin Durant (GSW): $10,500 v. BOS
Durant is pricey, but he is an automatic at a weak position with the way my lineup is set. The Celtics are typically pretty stingy against the PG position which makes Steph Curry a less than attractive play. That could open the door for another big game for Durant who triple-doubled against the T’Wolves last time out.
Harrison Barnes (DAL): $6,600 @ DEN
There’s no clear-cut second SF to fire up as of right now which leaves Harrison Barnes as a middle-of-the-road play in a good matchup with Denver. Barnes always plays heavy minutes and is one of the more consistent FanDuel players in the NBA. As long as that price isn’t too high, which it definitely is not at $6,600, Barnes will be a decent option with a chance at a 55.0+ point/price ratio.
Power Forwards
Jayson Tatum (BOS): $5,000 @ GSW
Jayson Tatum is a stud rookie, but not a fantasy juggernaut in his usual role in the Celtics rotation. However, with Marcus Smart out last game, Tatum saw a spike in USG rate to 23.0. Some of that can definitely be attributed to Al Horford not playing as well, but the $5,000 price point is what really stands out to me as it is Tatum’s lowest since the second game of his career. That seems to be an error in pricing on the part of FanDuel considering Tatum’s increased opportunity sans Marcus Smart. Take advantage.
Dirk Nowitzki (DAL): $4,800 @ DEN
Dirk is more of a “his price just fits” kind of play, but he’s capable of popping off every once in awhile and hasn’t done so in the previous two meetings with the Nuggets. The Nuggets also typically struggle to contain opposing PFs and Cs so Dirk factors in as a fine play for a low price.
Center
Karl-Anthony Towns (MIN): $9,600 v. BKN
This came down to Jokic vs. Towns, and the determining factor was the matchup for Towns against the Nets. The Nets are the worst team in the NBA at containing centers with a Defense v. Position of about 54 points per game. Throw in that Towns somehow had only 28 points in 40 minutes against the Nets last meeting, and I think we may be seeing a 60-pointer tonight.
That’s it for the Saturday slate. Best of luck!
