Monday night starts off the week with a solid eight-game slate in the Association. As usual, injuries have opened up some value on the slate, especially in Los Angeles where the Clippers just can’t seem to stay healthy this season. So, we are going to sharpen our scissors and cut up some value from what is left on the Clippers’ roster in order to pay up into the “high-value” range for a few studs in a “Stars and Scrubs” type of lineup construction for FanDuel on Monday night.
Note that some of the stats referenced in this article are my custom DvP calculations that combine both season and last five games data along with blending similar positions production allowed together.

Point Guard
Stephen Curry (GS): $9,800 vs DEN
Stephen Curry has been on fire since returning from injury averaging over 52 FanDuel points per game while shooting over 58% from the field and 53% from three-point range. He should be raining threes all night against a Nuggets’ team that has allowed the second most FD points to opposing PGs this season. Curry could also get an added usage benefit Kevin Durant misses his third straight game. Splash!

Delon Wright (TOR): $4,800 @ BKN
Delon Wright has been playing very well for the Raptors recently including a huge game last Wednesday against the Bulls with 25 points, 13 rebounds and five assists. Wright could see a minute’s jump on Monday in a favorable matchup against the Nets with the Raptors playing in the first game of a back-to-back. The Nets have allowed the most FD points to opposing PGs this season. I also have interest in Jawun Evans ($5,100) if he draws the start for the Clippers.
Shooting Guard
Victor Oladipo (IND): $9,400 vs MIL
Following a four-game absence, Victor Oladipo didn’t show any rust as he jumped right back into his All-Star production on Saturday with 23 points, six rebounds, nine assists and five steals in just 23 minutes. He should be set to resume his 30-plus minutes on Monday in what should be a competitive game against the Bucks. The Bucks have allowed a slight increase in points (+1.6%) and assists (+5.4%) to opposing SGs.
Tyrone Wallace (LAC): $3,500 vs ATL
Tyrone Wallace was just recalled from the G-League with all the injuries in the Clippers’ backcourt and produced in his first game with 13 points, three rebounds, two assists and three steals against the Warriors on Saturday. Wallace played 31 minutes and could move into the starting lineup over Jawun Evans on Monday against the Hawks. Even if he doesn’t start his solid showing in his first game and the depleted Clippers’ backcourt should allow the min-priced Wallace to play upwards of 25 minutes and exceed value for his cheap salary in a favorable matchup at home against the Hawks.
Small Forward
Trevor Ariza (HOU): $5,200 @ CHI
It is a good idea to continue to get exposure to the Rockets while James Harden is out. Chris Paul and Eric Gordon are good options but they aren’t cheap and they need monster games to reach value for their salaries. So, I’m looking to the SF position against the Bulls on Monday with either Trevor Ariza or Gerald Green. Green has been the more productive play but he didn’t quite fit my lineup construction so Ariza makes the list. The Bulls have been lit up by opposing SFs allowing increased production in points (+9.7%), rebounds (+8.0%) and assists (+18.7%) which fits in nicely with Ariza’s all-around game.
Joe Harris (BKN): $3,700 vs TOR
Injuries on the wings for the Nets have opened to door for Joe Harris who posted a double-double in his last game with 10 points and 12 rebounds against the Celtics. With DeMarre Carroll expected to be out on Monday, Harris should continue to see 25-plus minutes giving him a solid floor for a player priced at just $3,700.
Power Forward
LaMarcus Aldridge (SA): $8,700 @ SAC
LaMarcus Aldridge has been a rock for the Spurs and fantasy players this season. In his last two games, with a game of rest in between, Aldridge is averaging 27 points and 14 rebounds. The Spurs could be short-handed at forward again on Monday with Rudy Gay and Danny Green out and Kawki Leonard questionable which will allow Aldridge to see an uptick in usage and overall fantasy production in a favorable matchup against the Kings who have allowed the fourth most FD points to opposing PFs this season.
Montrezl Harrell (LAC): $4,900 vs ATL
The other inexpensive Clippers’ player that should benefit from the latest Blake Griffin injury is Montrezl Harrell. Harrell has double-double potential when he sees 20-plus minutes as he should get on Monday against the Hawks. Harrell should be able to supplement his solid points and rebounds with a few assists, blocks and steals to round out his stat line.
Center
Karl-Anthony Towns (MIN): $9,600 vs CLE
Karl-Anthony Towns has posted a double-double in eight of his last nine games including an average of 23 points and 19.5 rebounds in his last two games. Towns has had increased production at home, where he will be on Monday night against the Cavaliers who have allowed increased production in points (+7.0%), assists (+12.1%) and steals (+7.2%) to opposing centers. Towns will need a big game to help led the Wolves to a victory.
