We have an eight-game slate of NBA action to get us through the middle of the week. There aren’t too many injuries of note. The biggest one is that Kevin Love is now out for the Cavaliers, so we should see LeBron James be one of the more popular options on the slate.

Guards
Dennis Smith Jr. (DAL): $6,800 @ PHO
DSJ is one of the exciting rookies in the league this year and is in a great spot tonight. He is up against the Suns, who play at a fast pace, and are weak defensively, which is an ideal spot for NBA DFS. The Suns are giving up 47 DraftKings points per game to point guards, which is seventh worst in the league. This game does not have an over-under set because of the injury status of Devin Booker for the Suns. He’s listed as questionable for this game. DSJ has a team-high usage rate of 29.7%, along with averaging 0.95 fantasy points per minute this season.

Jordan Clarkson (LAL): $7,000 @ ORL
Clarkson has a team-high usage rate sitting at 29.9%, along with averaging 1.02 fantasy points per minute. He has played 30 or more minutes in four of his last five games and makes a good cash game option tonight. Clarkson has seen more playing time with Lonzo Ball out with an injury, and now that he is up against the Magic, who are giving up 44 DraftKings points per game to shooting guards, we want to roster him. He has taken 13 or more field goal attempts in his last five games, so there’s plenty of pure scoring upside from him.
Forwards
Taurean Prince (ATL): $5,000 vs. CHA
Prince is a bit of a cheaper play tonight and is an interesting spot tonight against the Hornets, who are giving up 43 DraftKings points per game to small forwards. Prince certainly isn’t one of the more exciting players to roster in NBA DFS, but in the two times he has played Charlotte this season, he has put up an average of 25 points in 30 minutes. He has taken 10 or more field goal attempts in three straight games, making him a nice part of the Hawks offense. Prince has put up 22 or more DraftKings points in two of his last three games, so nice production out of a player who isn’t too expensive.
Dario Saric (PHI): $6,900 @ BKN
Saric is quietly having a great season for the 76ers but goes a bit overlooked due to the bigger stars on the team. He has put up 22 or more DraftKings points in 10 straight games and is in a great spot tonight. Saric and the 76ers are up against the Nets, who play at a fast pace and are weak defensively, so we want to target them anytime they are on the slate. Brooklyn is giving up 47 DraftKings points per game to power forwards, putting Saric in a good spot for any format. This game has an over-under of 211 points. Doing a bit of a game stack here isn’t a bad idea either since the 76ers aren’t the best team defensively.
Centers
Hassan Whiteside (MIA): $8,600 @ CLE
Whiteside has scored 30 or more DraftKings points in eight of his last 10 games, seemingly starting to heat up a bit after the first part of the season when he was dealing with some injuries. Now he is up against the Cavaliers, who are giving up 52 DraftKings points per game to centers, putting him in a great spot to hit value tonight. This game has an over-under of 213 points and will also be a pace up spot for the Heat, so there is the potential for extra touches for Whiteside, who has double-double upside making him a great tournament play. He has a 25% usage rate and averaging 1.39 fantasy points per minute this season.
Jusuf Nurkic (POR): $6,000 vs. CHI
Nurkic is up against the Bulls who are giving up 51 DraftKings points per game this season, making him a good option at center tonight who isn’t too expensive. In the one game Nurkic played against the Bulls this year, he put up 43 DraftKings points in 37 minutes of action. That’s over one fantasy point per minute of production, which is exactly what you want out of a center. He has three double-doubles in his last six games, so a bit of consistency along with upside from the favorable matchup. We know he is one of the main offensive options for Portland, so he should be seeing the ball a ton given the fact this game has an over-under set at 214 points.
