We have a six-game slate to kick off our NBA week with some fantastic options across the slate. As of now, there aren’t too many injury concerns to worry about so roster construction looks to be straightforward. With that said, we are seeing more and more this season that there is late-breaking news so be ready to pivot.

Guards
Kyrie Irving (BOS): $8,800 @ DEN
Irving has scored 42 or more DraftKings points in five straight and is now in a great spot tonight against the Nuggets. He has a 33% usage rate along with averaging 1.18 fantasy points per minute this season which is fantastic production. He is the go-to guy on offense for the Celtics. They are going up against Denver who is giving up 48 DraftKings points per game to point guards. The Celtics have lost five of their last six games, and now is the time for Irving to step up and help right the ship. He faced off against the Nuggets one time this season, and in that game, he put up a massive 51-point performance in just 32 minutes.
Jimmy Butler (MIN): $9,400 @ ATL
Butler is back from his injury and appears to not have missed a beat. He put up 42 DraftKings points in 35 minutes in his first game back and looks to be back in form. If there is no minutes limit or restriction on him, he should be good to go for all formats tonight considering he is up against the Hawks who are one of the worst defensive teams in the league. They are giving up 42 DraftKings points per game to shooting guards. With this game having an over-under set at 215 points, Butler won’t have an issue reaching that level. He is the fourth-most expensive player on the slate tonight but doesn’t seem out of reach since he is under $10K, making roster construction a bit easier tonight.

Forwards
Dillon Brooks (MEM): $4,300 vs. PHO
Brooks has been a popular pick in DFS over recent weeks, and tonight should be no different. He is up against the Suns who are weak defensively and put Memphis in a pace up spot. This is an ideal situation to target a player like Brooks since he is cheap and should see extra touches on the ball. The Suns are giving up 40 DraftKings points per game to small forwards. This puts Brooks in a great spot since he is playing about 30 minutes per game recently and has taken 10 or more field goal attempts in four of his last six games. He isn’t the main option on offense for Memphis, but he is in a great spot given the favorable matchup and price.
Dario Saric (PHI): $6,800 @ MIL
Saric has put up 31 or more DraftKings points in five of his last six games and often goes overlooked on the 76ers because of the bigger stars. He is up against Milwaukee, who he has played one time earlier this season. In that game, Saric put up 32 fantasy points in 32 minutes. He has a 21.5% usage rate this season along while averaging 0.91 fantasy points per minute.
Centers
Dwight Howard (CHA): $9,100 @ IND
This game has an over-under of 215 points, making it one of the higher ones on the slate so you should be targeting it for good DFS options. Howard’s price has risen $1K over the past seven days so there is merit to fading him, but if you choose not to, know he is in a good spot. First off, he is up against the Pacers who are giving up 55 DraftKings points per game to centers, second worst in the league. Next, Howard has four straight games of 49 DraftKings points or more so he is on a bit of a heater right now. He has a 25% usage rate along with averaging 1.22 fantasy points per minute this season.
Jarell Martin (MEM): $4,800 vs. PHO
Martin has played 30 or more minutes in three of his last five games and is in a good spot tonight since he is up against a weak Suns team. The Grizzlies are dealing with a number of injuries right now which has opened up some playing time for Martin who has certainly capitalized on it. He has scored double-digit real points in five of his last six games and is chipping in with plenty of rebounds. He isn’t expensive and will be playing in a pace up spot against the Suns tonight so he’s a perfect option for all formats.
