Fantasy Football: Week 15 Injury Updates

Fantasy Football: Week 15 Injury Updates

Week 15 is do-or-die for many Fantasy Football leagues. It’s the time of the season where most are playing for their shot in the Championship Game and looking for the final push to have that opportunity to bring home the hardware. Whether it’s the penultimate week in your league or if your playoffs are just now starting, the discipline and importance of staying up to date on all the injury updates are at an all-time high. Here is the rundown for Week 15.

How the pros dominate college bowl pools partner-arrow

Chicago at Detroit (Saturday, 4:30 PM ET)

Chicago: The Bears have listed TE Adam Shaheen (chest) as questionable (and unlikely to play, per Ian Rapoport) for this Saturday’s game against the Lions along with S Adrian Amos (hamstring). According to the team’s injury report, both were limited in practice this week.

Detroit: C Travis Swanson (concussion) and T Rick Wagner (ankle) have already been ruled out for Saturday’s game. DE Ezekiel Ansah (ankle) and G T.J. Lang (foot) are listed as questionable on Friday’s injury report.

Los Angeles Chargers at Kansas City (Saturday, 8:25 PM ET)

Los Angeles Chargers: The Chargers may be without CB Casey Hayward (calf) who appears on the injury report as questionable after being held out of practice on Thursday. He will be a game-time decision, however, “under the current coaching and medical staff, “questionable” players have had a high rate of participation”.

Kansas City: The Chiefs will be without C Mitch Morse (foot) this weekend, as he’s already been ruled out on the official injury report. LB Tamba Hali (knee) and S Eric Murray (ankle) are listed as questionable.

Miami at Buffalo (Sunday, 1:00 PM ET)

Miami: RB Damien Williams (shoulder) did not practice on Friday and is listed as doubtful, along with S Michael Thomas (knee), on the official injury report. Listed as questionable are DE Andre Branch (knee) CB Xavien Howard (illness) and DT Jordan Phillips (ankle). It is expected Howard and Phillips will be good to go after being full participants in Friday’s practice.

Buffalo: The Bills have already ruled out QB Nathan Peterman (concussion) from Sunday’s Week 15 matchup. WR Kelvin Benjamin (knee) is listed as questionable on the team’s official injury report but Coach McDermott “feel(s) good about his chances to play Sunday.”

Green Bay at Carolina (Sunday, 1:00 PM ET)

Green Bay: Big news out of Green Bay as the return of QB Aaron Rodgers (collarbone) is expected to take place this Sunday against the Panthers. On the defensive side of the ball, CB Davon House (shoulder/back) has been ruled out on the injury report after being absent from practice all week.

Carolina: WR Devin Funchess (neck) is listed as questionable on Friday’s official injury report. He was held out of practice on Friday, but Ron Rivera says Funchess will play.

Baltimore at Cleveland (Sunday, 1:00 PM ET)

Baltimore: WR Mike Wallace (ankle) did not participate in practice Wednesday or Thursday and was limited in his participation on Friday. He is officially listed as questionable on the injury report. Wallace, however, vows he will play on Sunday.

Cleveland: There is no fantasy-relevant injury information to report.

Houston at Jacksonville (Sunday, 1:00 PM ET)

Houston: Texans’ WR DeAndre Hopkins (toe) is listed as questionable for their Week 15 game against the Jaguars, though “the injury isn’t expected to sideline him.” Joining him on the injury report, Jadaveon Clowney (knee/illness) is also listed as questionable, while QB Tom Savage (concussion) and WR Braxton Miller (concussion) have been ruled out.

Jacksonville: WR Allen Hurns (ankle) was ruled out on the official injury report. RB Leonard Fournette (quadricep) is listed as questionable. After missing practice all week, his status is truly in doubt. He is considered a true game-time decision.

Cincinnati at Minnesota (Sunday, 1:00 PM ET)

Cincinnati: The Bengals will once again be without LB Vontaze Burfict (concussion), CB Dre Kirkpatrick (concussion), and LBs Nick Vigil (ankle) and Kevin Minter (hamstring) this week as they have been ruled out of this Sunday’s game, on the official injury report. RB Joe Mixon has been ruled out.

Minnesota: TE Kyle Rudolph (ankle) did not practice all week and is considered doubtful on the team’s official injury report.

New York Jets at New Orleans (Sunday, 1:00 PM ET)

New York Jets: DE Muhammad Wilkerson (Non-Injury) has been ruled out for Sunday’s game. Joining him on the injury report is RB Matt Forte (knee), who is listed as questionable. It would be surprising if they rush Forte back, as QB Bryce Petty is now taking over starting responsibilities. I would expect Powell to get the start, but that is just a hunch at this time.

New Orleans: WR Ted Gin Jr. (rib) is listed as questionable on the injury report this week. However, he is expected to be ready to play on Sunday.

Philadelphia at New York Giants (Sunday, 1:00 PM ET)

Philadelphia: QB Carson Wentz (knee) is out for the season after he went down last week against the Rams. He will be replaced by backup Nick Foles. There are no other injuries of fantasy relevance.

New York Giants: S Landon Collins (ankle) is doubtful this weekend. He is joined on the injury report by WR Travis Rudolph (hamstring), who is listed as questionable.

Arizona at Washington (Sunday, 1:00 PM ET)

Arizona: The Cardinals will be without WR John Brown (toe) and RB Adrian Peterson (neck) for their matchup against Washington. TE Jermaine Gresham (illness) has also been downgraded to out.

Washington: There’s another long list of injuries on the team’s official report following Washington into Week 15. WR Ryan Grant (ankle) and OL Trent Williams (knee), Chase Roullier (hand), and Morgan Moses (ankle) are all questionable going into Week 15.

Los Angeles Rams at Seattle (Sunday, 4:05 PM ET)

Los Angeles Rams: There is no fantasy-relevant injury information to report.

Seattle: S Kam Chancellor (neck) is listed as out for Week 15. LB K.J. Wright (concussion) and DT Nazair Jones (ankle) are both doubtful while LB Bobby Wagner (hamstring) is listed as questionable on the team’s official injury report.

New England at Pittsburgh (Sunday, 4:25 PM ET)

New England: DT Alan Branch (knee) has been ruled out for this week’s matchup against Pittsburgh. CB Stephon Gilmore (ankle), WRs Chris Hogan (shoulder) and Matthew Slater (hamstring), and LB Kyle Van Noy (calf) are all listed as questionable on Friday’s injury report.

Pittsburgh: TE Vance McDonald (shoulder) has been ruled out for the Steelers. Joining him on the injury report are WR Juju Smith-Schuster (hamstring), CBs Joe Haden (fibula) and Coty Sensabaugh (shoulder) are all listed as questionable. Smith-Schuster is considered a true game-time decision, as his addition to the injury report was a bit of a surprise late in the week.

Tennessee at San Francisco (Sunday, 4:25 PM ET)

Tennessee: There is no fantasy-relevant injury information to report.

San Francisco: There is no fantasy-relevant injury information to report.

Dallas at Oakland (Sunday, 8:30 PM ET)

Dallas: The Cowboys will be without two staples on defense as DE David Irving (concussion) and CB Orlando Scandrick (back) have both been ruled out on the latest injury report. LB Sean Lee (hamstring/back) and WR Brice Butler (foot) are highly questionable as neither practiced on Friday, while Ts La’el Collins and Tyron Smith are also questionable with better optimism in their playing status. **Editor’s note: Brice Butler has been downgraded to OUT.

Oakland: WR Amari Cooper (ankle) has been ruled out for Week 15. His name is the only one of note from a fantasy perspective on the injury report.

Atlanta at Tampa Bay (Monday, 8:30 PM ET)

Atlanta: RB Tevin Coleman (concussion) should be watched going into this weekend as he has not yet been cleared to practice. WR Mohamed Sanu‘s (knee) status on the injury report could be in question after limited participation on Thursday and Friday.

Tampa Bay: The Bucs may be down a few on defense, as DT Gerald McCoy (biceps) and LB Lavonte David (hamstring) were both held out of practice to start the week. CB Vernon Hargreaves (hamstring) is also on the injury report after limited participation in practice on Thursday and Friday.
