We have a 10-game slate to work with on the first Wednesday of December. There are plenty of injury situations worth monitoring as the day unfolds, as this could play a big role in the direction you take in regards to lineup construction. Let’s look at a tournament lineup for FanDuel tonight.

Point Guard
Rajon Rondo (NO): $6,000 vs. DEN
This is a good spot for Rondo, who figures to continue helping to carry the load with Anthony Davis unlikely to play tonight. This contest features the highest implied total of the evening, with a spread of just five points. Rondo has logged a double-double in three straight, and he’s a good candidate to make it four in a row tonight.
Shaun Livingston (GS): $4,300 @ CHA
This isn’t a plus matchup, but it’s all about the expected bump in minutes with Stephen Curry on the shelf. Livingston is fresh off of a one-game suspension, so he should be ready to roll tonight. It’s also worth noting that Patrick McCaw is uncertain to play with a nose injury, which could bump Livingston’s responsibility up even more.

Other Notables:
Shooting Guard
Khris Middleton (MIL): $7,500 vs. DET
Middleton continues to log heavy minutes for the Bucks, and that figures to hold true tonight at home against the Pistons. In their last meeting, Middleton scored 50.2 FDP in 40 minutes of playing time. There’s always a chance that he drops a dud, especially in a tougher matchup, but I think this game should wind up being close and that should afford him enough chances to hit value.
Evan Fournier (ORL): $6,400 vs. ATL
A notoriously streaky scorer, Fournier appears to be on a bit of a roll right now. He’s scored at least 18 points in three straight, and he’s in a good spot to continue that success tonight. While a player who is dependent on their scoring for their fantasy value is risky, I think that risk is worth embracing tonight.
Other Notables:
Small Forward
Kevin Durant (GS): $10,000 @ CHA
This pick is pretty simple, as Durant should shoulder the brunt of the scoring void left by the absence of Stephen Curry. Provided he can keep his cool (ejected twice over last three games), Durant should have no issue putting up a monster line tonight against the Hornets.
Wilson Chandler (DEN): $4,800 @ NO
There’s some risk involved here with Chandler, who is just one game removed from missing three outings due to a back injury. He played 27 minutes in his return on Monday night, so I’d look for him to inch closer to the 30-minute mark this evening. The Pelicans can be attacked on the wings and provided he’s given his full workload, Chandler should be able to trounce his current value threshold.
Other Notables:
Power Forward
Ersan Ilyasova (ATL): $5,300 @ ORL
Assuming Ilyasova finds himself in the starting lineup for the woefully thin Hawks’ frontcourt, he’d be a solid option across all formats tonight. This is a good matchup against the Magic and Ilyasova can provide nice upside at times that could very well win you a tournament.
Montrezl Harrell (LAC): $4,300 vs. MIN
It sure would be nice to see Harrell get more playing time, as he’s been efficient when on the floor (1.02 FDP/min). He needs right around 22 FDP to hit value at this price, which he should be able to flirt with if he can see around 20 minutes of playing time. The Clippers have a big void with Blake Griffin on the shelf, so hopefully he can get enough run as he provides meaningful salary relief in roster construction.
Other Notables:
Center
DeMarcus Cousins (NO): $11,300 vs. DEN
Cousins should feast on the Nuggets tonight, who will be without the services of Nikola Jokic. With Anthony Davis expected to be out, look for Cousins to carry the load for the Pelicans at home this evening. He is coming off of a 59.7 FDP outing on Monday against the Warriors and I expect a similar line tonight.
