Well, Monday sure was an ugly night for late scratches after lineup lock. Hopefully, you were able to dodge the landmines. Tuesday night features a seven-game slate in the Association that also has a lot of questionable players including key names like Joel Embiid, Kawhi Leonard, and John Wall. Be sure to watch for all the late-breaking news and let’s hope it all comes out before the games tip off.
Note that some of the stats referenced in this article are my custom DvP calculations that combine both season and last five games data along with blending similar positions production allowed together.

LeBron James (SF/PF – CLE): $11,800 vs ATL
LeBron James is by far the highest priced option on Tuesday’s slate but he is worth paying up for as long as enough value opens up (as it usually does). James has been ultra-consistent this season and has scored at least 55 DraftKings points in eight of his last nine games. He will face a Hawks’ team that has allowed the third most DK points to opposing SFs this season and James is averaging 57.6 DK points in his two previous meetings against the Hawks. Lock him in and figure the rest out.

Core Plays
Kristaps Porzingis (PF/C – NYK): $8,500 vs LAL
If you are playing up for James you won’t be able to fit in all four of these core plays but you might want to make Kristaps Porzingis the top priority on this list. After missing a few games, Porzingis has now topped 34 minutes in three straight games and has seen his fantasy number get progressively better in each game. Now, he gets a home game against the Lakers who have allowed the most DK points to opposing PFs this season. The Magic 8-ball says, “All signs point to a big game for Porzingis”.
Jimmy Butler (SG – MIN): $8,000 vs PHI
It took a little while but Jimmy Butler is back to his usual heavy minutes and solid, consistently high fantasy production with the Timberwolves. Butler has exceeded 40 DK points in seven of his last eight games which gives him a floor of 5x his current salary. He could also see his scoring get a bump on Tuesday against the Sixers who have allowed an increase in points by 10.7% to opposing SGs.
Dennis Schroder (PG – ATL): $7,600 @ CLE
After so many strong options on Monday night, point guard is a tricky position to fill on Tuesday. There aren’t any high-priced options except for Ben Simmons and the mid-range is full of highly volatile options. So, I will land on Dennis Schroder who is much more consistent than any of the other options and has a plus matchup against the Cavaliers who have allowed the third most DK points to opposing PGs. Schroder is averaging just under 40 DK points per game in two meeting with the Cavaliers this season.
Zach Randolph (PF/C – SAC): $7,100 vs PHO
Zach Randolph has worked his way from the value plays section to the core plays section with his recent strong play and subsequent salary hike. He is all the way up to $7,100 after being priced at $5,000 a mere 10 days ago. However, he still deserves our attention when building lineups on Tuesday thanks to a great matchup against the Suns who have allowed the fourth most DK points to opposing PFs this season. Watch the news on Willie Cauley-Stein carefully, if he returns on Tuesday than it moves Randolph from a great option to just a good option.
Value Plays
Greg Monroe (PF/C – PHO): $5,000 @ SAC
Enter Suns’ center of choice here. The Suns’ big men are all productive when given the minutes including Greg Monroe, Tyson Chandler, and Alex Len. Watch news leading up to the game to see which of them are in, which are out and who is starting. If all three big men play, then I’ll take Monroe who seems to be the steadiest of the trio in a strong matchup against the King who has allowed increased production in points, rebounds, and assists to opposing big men.
Jarrett Jack (PG – NY): $4,500 vs LAL
Jarrett Jack has played between 26-28 minutes in each of the last three games for the Knicks while averaging 11.7 points, 6.0 assists and 4.0 rebounds per game. His salary remains manageable and he gets a very favorable matchup against the Lakers who have allowed the most DK points to opposing PGs this season.
Wilson Chandler (SF/PF – DEN): $4,400 @ DET
There are two ways you can go at this price point with the Nuggets. Either Wilson Chandler or teammate Trey Lyles. Both are coming off strong games of 34 DK points against the Pacers and both are very volatile. However, if you are looking for value options that have some upside both players should see at least 25 minutes with the Nuggets still short in the frontcourt.
Richaun Holmes (PF/C – PHI): $3,800 @ MIN
Monitor the status of Joel Embiid leading up to game time. If Embiid is ruled out then it will open up more minutes for some cheap value options in the Sixers frontcourt with Richaun Holmes and Amir Johnson. Holmes posted over 30 DK points in 24 minutes on Sunday with Embiid out. Johnson also topped 30 points in 24 minutes. If Embiid does play then Holmes can still be rostered with lower expectations and Johnson can be avoided.
